Well, folks, this is a hard one, but we have always shared both our ups and downs with you all. Recently, we received some bad medical news regarding Coco. We had been taking time to spoil her (even more than she already was) and come to terms with this news.
Coco was scheduled to see a cardiologist at the PEI Veteranary College tomorrow. Unfortunately, she passed away last week π. We knew it was a possibility for it to occur suddenly. We spent every moment we could doing all her favorite things. We are lucky that right up until the end, she was her spunky little self, and you would never even guess there was anything wrong least of all that her heart wasn't working properly.
She continued to romp around the house, stomping her legs when she wanted something, eating, playing, and demanding snuggles. All of my dogs have such drastically different personalities. Coco was the most gentle soal and was born to be a lap dog. She was most happy having snuggles and belly rubs. She knew just how to get the attention out of people. When you saw her, you just couldn't resist, and she knew it. I used to say that in a room for people, she would look for the "weakest link" to give her what she wanted β€οΈ.
We are thinking about her constantly and working hard to help our other animals adjust. Especially Chloe (our oldest) who had Coco as a little sister for over 11.5 years. They very much grew up together, and I have often said that I never trained Coco that Chloe did it all.
We have always shared so much and are often asked about our dogs by their names. We knew it was important to share with everyone, and we know we are not alone. Many of you have been through those difficult losses, and I have always appreciated you sharing with me β€οΈ. We are getting through all the "firsts." Today , it was the first road trip without her.
