On Saturday September 7th Blue Heron Farm will be at the Northside exhibition facility from 10:00am to 2.00pm. We will have stir fry mix, chard, kale, microgreens (pea, broccoli, radish, mixed brassica and sunflower).
Again this week we will have seasonal salad mix, cilantro, dill, basil, parsley, mint, bagged beets and beets with greens, celery, garlic, snow peas, zucchini, green, yellow and white onions and yellow and green beans and white and red potatoes. There will be pints of yellow, red cherry and large slicing tomatoes as well.

On Saturday August 17th Blue Heron Farm will be at the Pan Cape Breton Food Hub Co-op pop-up market in Little Bras d'or from 10:00am to 2.00pm. We will have stir fry mix, chard, kale, new potatoes, microgreens (pea, broccoli, radish, mixed brassica and sunflower).
Again this week we will have seasonal salad mix, cilantro, dill, basil, rhubarb, beets with greens, garlic, snow and sugar snap peas, zucchini, green and white onions and yellow and green beans. There will be pints of yellow and red cherry tomatoes as well. For the first time this year we will have celery.

For the first time this year we will have cherry tomatoes and red and green head lettuce.

Tip to Prevent Food Waste - To remove tough ends, don’t snap the stalks at their natural breaking point, as you lose too much of the vegetable this way. For the first time in 2024 we will have cilantro, rhubarb and baby beets with greens.

We will also have microgreens (pea, broccoli, radish, mixed brassica and sunflower) and jerusalem artichokes (sunchokes).
We will have rhubarb roots for sale. If you baby your root you should be able to harvest some this Fall.
For the first time in 2024 we will have seasonal salad mix (a mix of red, yellow and green lettuce) and asparagus!
