We will not be selling at the CBFM this Saturday, Dec 21st. We have a limited amount of Turnip (rutabega), baby carrots, beet, sunchokes, potatoes, cranberries, stir fry mix, Red Kuri and butternut winter squash and kale left. If you are interested you can call 902 849 7114 to arrange farm gate pickup.

On Saturday November 30th Blue Heron Farm will be at the Northside exhibition facility from 10:00am to 2.00pm probably for the last time in 2024. We have moved into the renovated main building with heating/cooling and flush toilets! We thank the Northside Exhibition committee for their support in these trying times.
We will have stir fry mix, chard and kale. We will also have green onions, leeks, turnip (rutabega), microgreens (pea, sunflower and mixed), baby carrots, cilantro, bagged beets, broccoli, white, blue and red potatoes, Red Kuri and butternut winter squash and sunchokes (jerusalem artichokes) Again this week we will have wild cranberries. This time of the year we benefit from being so close to the ocean. We haven't had a heavy frost so we still have tomatoes for sale.

There will be pints of yellow, red cherry tomatoes and green and large slicing tomatoes, Red Kuri winter squash and Bosc Pears. For the first time in 2024 we will have sunchokes (jerusalem artichokes)

We have moved into the renovated main building with heating/cooling and flush toilets! We thank the Northside Exhibition committee for their support in these trying times.
We will have stir fry mix, chard, kale, seasonal salad mix, cilantro, dill, basil, parsley, mint, bagged beets and beets with greens, celery, garlic, zucchini, green, yellow and white onions, green beans, broccoli and white, blue and red potatoes. There will be pints of yellow, red cherry, green and large slicing tomatoes as well.
For the first time in 2024 we will have Red Kuri winter squash and Bosc Pears.

The Cape Breton Farmers' Market will again be at the Northside Exhibition site on Saturday, September 28th but Blue Heron Farm is taking a 1 week break. We will be back on October 5th.

On Saturday September 21st Blue Heron Farm will be at the Northside exhibition facility from 10:00am to 2.00pm. We have moved into the renovated main building with heating/cooling and flush toilets! We thank the Northside Exhibition committee for their support in these trying times.
We will have stir fry mix, chard, kale, microgreens (pea, broccoli, radish, mixed brassica and sunflower).
Again this week we will have seasonal salad mix, cilantro, dill, basil, parsley, mint, bagged beets and beets with greens, celery, garlic, zucchini, green, yellow and white onions, yellow beans and white, blue and red potatoes. There will be pints of yellow, red cherry, green and large slicing tomatoes as well.
This week we will have lots of broccoli. The winter squash is still growing and I want to give them lots of time to sweeten up and mature before harvesting them.

Again this week we will have seasonal salad mix, cilantro, dill, basil, parsley, mint, bagged beets and beets with greens, celery, garlic, snow peas, zucchini, green, yellow and white onions and yellow beans and white and red potatoes. There will be pints of yellow, red cherry, green and large slicing tomatoes as well.
This week we will have broccoli.
