Hope everyone is able to get out and enjoy this beautiful January weather and soak up the sun like my spoiled cat.
Usually January is a slow month for grooming but I am booking up quickly. If your pup is needing an appointment send me a message so that we can get them booked in.
FEBRUARY will have limited space as we are headed on a family holiday Feb 7-17. The first week already has just a few spaces left then booking Feb 19th onward.

As I groom my last dog of 2024 it made me pause to think of what an incredible year it was for my business. I worked more then I thought I would and was rewarded with meeting many amazing dogs and their owners as well as continue with the dogs and their people who first started this incredible journey. I want to thank all of you for your continued support and wonderful smiles. I am lucky that most of my clients are also friends and that makes the work days fly by. Hoping everyone has a great New Years and that 2025 brings joy and success to you all.

I blinked and it’s December! Looking forward to the promised warm up in weather after these freezing couple weeks. This is an important reminder going into winter months to check your pets if they have been playing around other dogs or are acting out of character (coughing/sneezing/extra itchy/ear infection). Just like humans, dogs DON’T mean to make others unwell so no need for apologies if we need to reschedule your appointment at anytime if you think your dog is unwell and we will rebook as soon as it’s safe for us both to do so. I have had a few cases of lice this year, luckily each was my last dog of the day allowing me to clean immediately, but it ends up being hours of extra cleaning for me to be sure nothing can spread. Luckily I have dogs here usually only one at a time, coming up on the holiday season sometimes I will have a few over laps in pick ups and drop off. Please be assured they are always in individual kennels and those are cleaned in between each dog as is bathing area and grooming table and tools.

While drying your dog I am always looking for any lumps (new and/or old ones that have grown since last groom), scratches, red patches, and unfortunately things like fleas/ticks/lice. I hate having to tell owners any of the above but know this is why I take the time to hand dry them. If we can catch things early it’s worth the extra time.

What a beautiful fall we’ve got to enjoy but it’s looking like it’s going to get colder and winter isn’t far off. I wanted to reach out and say I have very limited spots left for November and December is already filling fast. If you are wanting a groom before Christmas please don’t wait to get your pup booked in.

My holidays are flying by as is the end of summer! I am booking into mid September at the moment with no wiggle room for the last bit of August. I am strongly suggesting, especially my longer teddy bear doodle clients, to prebook groomings. Prebooking grooms at time of pick up or at about 4 weeks out ensures you get the day and time that works best for you. I have only so many later afternoon/evening appointments so if that’s what fits your availability the best don’t wait to book. I will be working Monday-Thursdays 9:00-4:00, my last booking at 4:00 for a 6:00 finish. I have some wiggle room on early mornings or a bit later evening but these are only when prebooked.
At this time I am no longer able to accept any more new XL breeds and am taking limited new clients in order to make sure regulars can still get groomed.
Thank you so very much for everyone’s support, I feel badly when writing these posts as I want to be available to everyone! Hoping next summer to be training my daughter to bath for me so that I can get through more dogs in a day and open my books again. I am only this busy through word of mouth and can’t thank all my loyal follower’s enough! Thinking of a client reward for the month of November and December, suggestions besides a discounted amount appreciated, leave me a comment if there is something you’d like to see!

This beautiful weather gets me excited that it’s the last week of school for the kiddos and I’m ready to enjoy summer. I am currently booking July 18 onward with a growing cancellation list so don’t delay booking your pups in.
I am super excited to have Painters come this week! You may see them through the house but they are amazing and were willing to work around my grooming schedule and so it won’t effect any of my grooming days. Next step to being closer to finishing Reno’s for the year! 🤗

Dear valued clients, this year is flying by and I appreciate each and every one of you and enjoy having all your pups come to see me. I always want to be able to provide the best service and care possible at an appointment pace that is not stressful to your pets and in order to do this I need to occasionally raise my prices. Unfortunately due to not charging my worth until now it will seem like quite a jump however I can not afford to continue my business without it and appreciate your continued support. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to message me. Price increase will start July 1 2024.
Things that effect price are size, coat condition, temperament, length of hair, matting of coat, desired finish length of coat (blade clips are under a half inch and anything longer is a scissor clip, scissor clips require more time both drying and during the haircut and will be charged accordingly), frequency of grooming visits. I still do all inclusive grooms that include things like top quality shampoo and conditioner, deshedding, nail grinding, bows/bandanas etc low stress grooms, often only 1on1 and that’s not changing!

It’s sure starting to feel like Spring out there today after a couple cooler days. I am booking into May right now with limited availability the first couple weeks due to prebooked appointments. Wow where has the last couple months gone!? It’s been a while since I’ve made a post but have been grooming away and planning some home Reno’s to better suit my needs starting with new flooring going in this week. It’s a bit of a construction zone so please don’t mind the clutter, should be put back together by next week.
Wanted to say that spring is looking to be as busy if not more then last year. I am currently booking last week of March and into April. If your pup is getting close to needing a groom please send me a message. I will have very limited evening appointments coming up May and June so if you are needing a certain day or time feel free to prebook!

Christmas came early! After 16 years of grooming I finally bought myself some cordless clippers to make my job just a bit easier.
I am currently booking Nov 6 onward with bookings already coming in for Christmas. Don’t wait to send me a message if you have a specific day or time your needing to get your pup in as I foresee a busy holiday season.
