Job Description: DayTrain & Kennel Attendant
Location: 7030/7100 Howard Ave, Oldcastle ON
Type: Part-time (Kennel shifts are morning, evenings & weekends)
About the Role:
Pack’d Inn K9 Services is a premium, balanced-training facility. We’re seeking a calm, reliable handler to support our DayTrain program and kennel operations. You’ll maintain structure, safety, and cleanliness while delivering consistent reps that keep dogs progressing.
What You’ll Do:
DayTrain (weekday focus)
Maintain basic training while running DayTrain sessions (engagement, leash pressure/release, place/settle, recall foundations).
Maintain a calm training space so dogs can coexist neutrally (on/off leash as directed).
One-on-one reps: treadmill, leash walks, yard work, structured downtime.
Nail trims, bath & blow-dry as scheduled.
Feed dogs per instructions; may administer meds and log accurately.
Client admin (DayTrain): Use a computer to book clients, confirm bookings, update notes, and handle POS/cash confidently.
Kennel Attendant (evenings & weekends)
Confidently handle and assist with large and/or aggressive dogs using safe, balanced methods (slip leads; e-collar under trainer direction).
Train Board & Train clients during kennel shifts using provided plans.
One-on-one handling for boarding outings (structured walks, potty breaks, enrichment).
Cleaning & janitorial duties: kennels/runs, bowls, laundry, mopping, waste, restock supplies; keep a spotless facility.
Client admin (Boarding): Use a computer to book/confirm boardings, manage check-ins/outs, update records, and handle POS/cash confidently.
