How do you get your cats used to their carrier?

It's actually quite easy. Don't just bring it out when you have to stuff your cats in it to take to vet, etc., and then put it away again as soon as you're done with it.

Leave it out in your house, prop the door of it open, put a cozy blanket in it, maybe some treats to start with. Treats might not even be needed, cats do love boxes after all 😁. And then just let the cats do their thing. They'll make it their own safe place to nap in.

My cats, and my foster kittens, sleep in the carrier every day. Not always the same cat, sometimes alone, sometimes with a buddy, sometimes it looks like a clown car, there are so many piled in there 😻.

They'll come to see it as a safe, familiar place, and when you need to take them somewhere, they'll be happier for it.

If you have more than one carrier, rotate them out, so the kitties can get used to all of them.
