Hello! My name is Oakley and I'm here looking for my forever home! I've been with the girls at Countryside Kennel and here's what they say about me.
I am the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet. Cuddly, couch potato, but always up for some fun too. All around ladies man.
I love attention and hanging out. My favourite things are belly rubs, walks, and just being by your side. I would do best in a home where someone is around more often than not. I love enrichment toys and puzzles.. I do have some separation anxiety about being alone but having my human home or exercising me prior to leaving can reduce it. I'm a howler and an avid chatter.
I would like to stay on my fish food as I am looking good and feeling great! My ears do flare up if I cheat on my diet.
I have been around other dogs in the past but I am selective in who I would like to be around ... It would definitely need to be the more submissive type or a lady friend.
I have lived with cats too.

UPDATE THIS IS NOT THE DASHWOOD DOG !!
We have secured a roaming lost dog.
Female ALL WHITE, Maremma or Kuvasz breed.
She IS NOT CHIPPED 2 yrs old and in need of tlc , she's severely skinny. I have called vet clinics in the area to make them aware too.
PROOF OF OWNERSHIP IS REQUIRED TO CLAIM HER
Has been reported to Municipality, Animal Control and K9 Ground Search

Courtesy post ; THIS IS NOT OUR DOG
We were approached by Thames Centre today about a dog at large. We searched and tracked the dog the best we could. Last sighting was houses behind RICHMOND RD HEADING EAST TOWARDS BANKS RD. It is in the bush, very muddy and looks like hind end is injured. It is a LGD unsure of any other details.
If anyone finds/sights the dog please do NOT CHASE call us 519-854-9999

I waited until the end of the day, she doesn't love attention on her. It's that time of year where we wish Emily well in her school term overseas.
We are so lucky to have met you and that you love our guests so much you return on your breaks.

When your pets stay and Heidi is with them , they are cuddled , squished and given so many blankets and treats to make them as cozy as possible.
She has a heart of gold and loves animals more than anything.

Today we say good bye to Kara😭
She has been with us since 2022 and we couldn't have asked for a better staff member.
She has cared for all of your pets and done an amazing job at it.
We wish her well on her journey to Alberta and living her dream.
Any animal she comes in contact with will be a lucky one.
We will also miss her newest family member Joseph aka Joey.
We hope you visit us and know your family is so proud of you.

There's a doggy cold going around Thorndale and surrounding area. Vets have not labelled it kennel cough, but a "cold". Watch and monitor your pets, keep them home if sick to help stop the spread.
It passes thru them within a few days just like regular colds for you and I. Rest & Water and yummy foods.
Stay healthy ! If you need to cancel or reschedule let us know. We do our very best with cleaning, sanitizing and purifying.

Oakley is sweet and kind, he loves being loved 💙 please friends share to your profiles and let's get this guy a home.
Although we adore him he deserves a couch to sleep on.

I've tried a million times to write this- but my tears fill up my eyes and I can't find the words. So here it is

Oakleys adoptive home took him to our boarding kennel and left him, they are not returning for him. Why? Personal life issues and he peed in the basement, they refused to hire a dog walker, nor block off areas with 6ft gate, refused a trainer we offered and despite me saying he must stay on limited ingredient salmon, they gave him pedigree. Am I mad...no...disappointed yes.

He has a bad ear infection and although he loves the ladies at the kennel (Countryside in Thorndale)this is not a home for him

Oakley needs a home he can hang out in the yard, the people are home or goes for an outing at lunch, can feed limited ingredient salmon. He can be selective on men, loves the ladies, proper introduction needed ( he barks nothing serious just likes to make a statement)

For now we will get him feeing great and ears cleared up.
