In case you have all been wondering, here is an update on Stewart! Stewart was the little kitten that suffered the traumatic brain injury back in July. Here he is today running for the dinner bell! We are so amazed by his progress that he has made with his parents! It just goes to show what persistence, hard work, and some good ol' TLC can do for a life!
Here it is, the time we've been waiting for! The winner of our silly photo contest is Julie Delong Kew!
We want to thank everyone who commented and entered our contest! We had a blast seeing all the photos and what your pets get up to outside of seeing us here at the clinic! 🥰
Over the last week, Barney has adjusted very well to his new clinic cat lifestyle. Today he came out of his shell more and was showing off his playful side! He still hasn't figured out why he can't get at the laundry 😂
If little Stewart here isn't the definition of determination, then we don't know who is!
Stewart is a sweet little kitten who, on July 13th, had an accident and bonked heads really hard with his doggy brother at home. This resulted in a Traumatic Brain Injury that had left him in a comatose state. With the help of his loving parents who helped care for him around the clock, tube & syringe feeding him, massaging his little muscles, lubricating his eyes when he couldn't blink, resulted in his progress today! This shows some rehab work we have all been doing with Stewart and he is now up and walking with the assistance of us holding his head! We are all happy and thrilled with the progress he has made. We hope soon in the coming weeks that he will be able to strengthen and walk all by himself again 😊
With the nice sunshine we have been having we love to get out and about with our pets! But we're not the only ones that love this weather - ticks and flea's come out to play as soon as the weather is above zero! Have your pets started their prevention yet?
Thirsty Cat
Our visiting feline friend, Buddy, likes his water straight from the tap!
Anyone else have a faucet-loving kitty?
