My name is Elaine Briggs. I started my grooming career 7 years ago in Dorchester. I decided to open my own grooming business in January 2024.

My business is located just outside of Mossley, Ontario.

This is Walter the Golden Doodle.

In these pictures he looks so happy and relaxed but when it comes to grooming it is a completely different story.
Walter is extremely scared of being groomed and so his response is to try to scare you into stopping the process. He will bark and growl quite aggressively at you in the hopes that you will stop.
When it comes to grooming his back end and all of his legs he will actually bite.
When Walter came to me for the first time I was told to just get done what I could. It was not expected that I would be able to do the full groom on him. I worked at his pace and even though he was difficult and very upset about being groomed, I was able to get the entire groom finished.
He has now been in three times and we are making progress with his ability to trust me.

I love working with dogs like Walter because it feels so rewarding when they start to trust that you are not going to hurt them.

Transformation Tuesday is off to a great start! This lovely girl came in for a spa day after having a summer of fun in the pond. She went home looking and smelling beautiful.

This sweet little puppy came in for her first haircut.
She went from looking like a wild haired girl to a little lady with a very sweet face.

If anyone is in need of a dog or cat nail trim you can come to Pet Valu in Dorchester tonight. I am there from 6 to 8 PM.
I also do small pets such as guinea pigs, rabbits, or lizards. We hope to see you there!

This lovely girl was in not too long ago and really is not keen on the grooming process because of how much hair she has.
She did amazingly well, and I made a big difference in her coat.
The first four pictures were before the groom and the last four pictures are after.
She did absolutely amazing in the one on one, cage free environment here at my shop.
If anyone has a dog that needs a good de-shedding treatment or has a dog that needs a haircut I have some spaces available for this coming week.

These two lovely English Shepherds came to me because their mom was worried about taking them somewhere that had a high volume of dogs at one time. They are dog reactive and quite worried about interactions with people.
I work one on one and took my time to win over their trust.
By the end of the grooming process I had definitely earned some of their trust and also had a beautiful result for their grooming.

If anyone has an elderly dog, reactive or fearful dogs that need a one on one grooming experience please feel free to contact me and I can book them in and work with them to make grooming a great experience for them.

These 3 boys are regular visitors that have all been in to be groomed at my new location within the last 3 weeks. Arthur and Rossi are Miniature Golden Doodles and Cooper is a Cavachon puppy. They are the sweetest and best behaved dogs that you could hope for as a groomer.

Tonight at Pet Valu in Dorchester, I will be there from 6 to 8pm doing $10 nail trims for Charity. Bring out your dogs and cats. If you have a lizard, guinea pig or rabbit that needs their nails done. I do those too!
Come on out and get those nail trims done and the proceeds go to a local Pet rescue team!

This is another before and after of a dog named Jake. Jake lives on a horse farm and got his spring haircut last week. Jake is a sweet, older Portuguese water dog.

This is Nova, she is a 4 year old Australian Shepherd who lives on a horse farm.
These are her before and after pictures of her first groom with me.
She is the sweetest dog and was a joy to groom.
Her transformation was astonishing!
I look forward to seeing her again soon for her next groom.

I have an exciting announcement!

This Tuesday I got the opportunity to move into my own grooming shop located just outside of Mossley.
I am absolutely thrilled as it will give me the opportunity to take on any size dog with ease and to eventually be able to expand as my business grows.
