It's time for our Holiday Pet Care 🎃Halloween PARTY!👻 Have your dog join us MONDAY, Oct 31, 2022 for a fun filled day for the pups, where there will be games, a photo shoot and of course lots of treats. All are welcome to bring special treats, but we have plenty for everyone. 🦴 The fun starts at 10am! Make sure your pet wears their best costume to be featured on our social media pages. 🐶 If your pup can't make it this year (or your pet isn't a dog 🐇 🐈) you can still join in the fun! Please tag us or send us a picture with them in their costume! We are very excited to see all the creative ideas with all of our furry friends!

We have 2 separate playrooms!. Why is that important to know? Because all dogs are not the same. Some dogs are playful and some only prefer company. Our MainLevel Playroom is a space for the littler ones, the ones that prefer a calmer environment, and some of our seniors, who prefer resting, over playing. We take each playroom outside, separately and we go outside to the backyard, about every 2 hours. Here is a sneak peek of our ML Gang this past Easter/Passover weekend… outside, in the backyard, and inside the playroom. Featuring: Snowy, the Cockapoo. Chanel, the Pomeranian. Java, the Mini Poodle. Sammi, the Golden Retriever. Hunter, the Corgi. Dave, the Beagle. Fipsy, the Yorkipoo. Acki, the Shih Tzu. 🐶🐾

Did you know that when dogs play they have very distinct body language. Play-bows, spinning, hip-checks and bouncing are all part of perfect play. And when dogs of different sizes play together, they’ll often even out the play by getting down low or raising up themselves up to meet their match. Watch for some of these signs as Gus, the Labradoodle and Hunter, the Corgi show you how it’s done.

Bella’s First Birthday Party at Holiday Pet Care. Bella’s family brought a tray of cookies for Bella to share with her friends on her special day!

Staff Training Day was a success! Thanks to all the doggos (and their people who entered them in the random draw for $22 Daycare on Jan 22/22). We got to demonstrate how we foster proper play in our #cagefree #socialstyledogdaycare environment. How we monitor group dog dynamics with redirection and praise. They got to witness the key factors in reading body language. Different personalities were showcased and how different breeds may have different play-styles. They saw how we help puppies pace themselves during playtime. We taught some of the basics of proper dog manners, like sit and “4 on the floor” to get attention. And how Daycare is so crucially important to the well-being of dogs. It was awesome to have such a mixed group of breeds, ages and experiences with Daycare. Some dogs, we see often. Others, we were thrilled to see again. Some played. Some watched. Some slept. Everyone had a blast!
