As 2024 comes to an end we would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and happy new year!
In The Wild had a spectacular year with 1 dog in top dog standing (Duchess - handled by Hannah). 2 new champions (Yoko and Gram), 1 new NA title (Yoko) and 2 almost Champions (Lalo and Karhu). We had a wonderful hunting season with some great friends and filled some freezers, had a beautiful litter of Finnish Lapphunds. We can't wait to see what 2025 has in store for us.

EKKOC was a fabulous weekend.
In Griffs;
Katie and Duke are learning to work together going BOS x2, select x1 and a BOB to finish off the weekend.
Lalo showed like a champ picking up 4 more CH points. At just 8 months old, and 2.5 shows (he was baby puppy for a half show) he already has 8 points.
Yoko finished her CH and showed her heart out as a special for the first time, though got no love. She is slowly learning to love the show ring.
Duchess went BOS and Select and gets to finish off the year as the #2 WPG, #1 Female and Owner Handled, and a top 10 Owner Handled Sporting dog - shown all year by Hannah. Now she takes a break from the show ring for some exciting things.
In Lappies;
Karhu got his first 5 points towards his CH at his first show, he really loves showing off.
Kulta did amazing going BOS to pick up some more GCH points at less then a year old.
Mochi finished off her CH going BOWx3.
Riot came along to socialize and get exposure to the show world and got to practice her stacking.

She would be a lovely addition to a family, a nice hobby/dog sport dog, or a nice addition to a Finnish Lapphund breeding program. Considering serious inquiries only. No shipping. CKOC was a fantastic weekend.
We left the show with 2 Best ribbons - Best Baby Puppy in Show for Lalo and a Best Brace in Show for Duke, Duchess and Hannah.
In Lappies;
Gram took 2 BOB wins and a Select for 5 GCH points. Pretty proud of my Unicorn.
Kulta took 2 WB and BOS wins putting her at 7 points towards her CKC Championship.
Mochi took 1 WB and BOS for her major!
In Griffs;
Yoko went WB every day with 1 BOW putting her at 8 CkC champion points - not bad for my little girl who hates to show - thank you Fabian for showing her so I could focus on Lalo.
lalo took Best Baby Puppy in Show Friday, had a break Saturday and turned 6 months old! Sunday was his first day as a class boy and he went WM, BOW and BP for his first 2 CKC points at 6 months. This puppy is amazing.
Duchess went BOB x1 and BOS x1 for more GCHS points. I am always amazed by how well Hannah presents her, and they absolutely love each other.
Duke, Duchess and Hannah went best brace in group every day.
Ollie also showed Lalo in Peewee, and did amazing. He got 1st place (all the little do!) and had a great time with his favourite puppy.

This week we celebrate Hannah and Duchess’ 1 year anniversary together.

I was hesitant to lend Duchess out to a junior as she is high energy, and sometimes harder to handle. Little did I know in 1 short year they would go on to win many things.
Multiple placements in junior handling in the Novice Junior class, Novice intermediate class, and open intermediate class, as well as many best overalls and reserve best overalls. Not to mention winning their class at Zone 10 Junior Provincials.
Multiple group placements, I can’t even name all the judges who have awarded this pair.
And 2 group one placements from David Swartwood and Mike Jackman, and well as being placed Reserve Best in Show under Mike Jackman.
The team has maintained being the #1 female griff, #2 all breed griff and #1 owner handed griff for many months, as well as being in the top 10 sporting/owner handled group.

To say I am proud would be an understatement. I love this duo.

At Alberta Kennel Club - Hannah and Duchess took 3x BOS, a select and a BOB on the final day.

At Edmonton Kennel Club - Hannah and Duchess took 1 BOB and a group 1st, 2 selects and a BOS.

At West Kootenay Kennel Club - Hannah and Duchess took 4 BOB and a Group 3!

This team is on a roll and I could not be more proud.
