Pupdate. The last of our sweet Brittanys found himself a fantastic home!

"Morning!
Just wanted to give you a little update, this little guy has been such a sweetheart. We are so incredibly happy to have him with us. I wish I would have recorded him meeting our older dog, it was like a match made in heaven Lol!
It really brought his puppy side back out and it's been nothing but smiles & tails wagging around here!
We have decided on the name Charlie😊

A pupdate from a family this past week 🐾❤️

Hi Carole.
We just wanted to let you know we are very happy with the pup. We put him to bed last night and not a sound out of him at all. We got up and took him out at 330 am. He went to the bathroom. And straight to bed until 5 am when I got up. No accidents in house. He has figured out that if he wants outside he goes to the door. He has also learned fetch already and my son played with him for an hour.

On their way to the vet to get all checked out ✅ and first shots 💉. These boys all did great. They will soon be ready to go after we give them 24 hrs to recover from the vaccinations. They are always tuckered out on the way home 🥹

For the next few weeks, we're offering a little "egg-tra" to those who adopt a puppy from us-- a dozen farm fresh brown eggs, gathered from our farm hens 🥚🥚🥚, and a gathering of specialty cut flowers from our flower farm business. 💐. Tour the gardens while you're here!

These puppies are ready to go! Vet checked, microchipped, first shots, dewormed, proven parents, food to go, and CKC registration. 👍

We encourage playing with the puppies to get a feel on personalities. It's great for them and fun for kids. So if you're a family needing an outing to give mom a break, or a guy trying to convince your girl on a fur baby, throwing in flowers (and eggs? 🤷‍♀️ might just sweeten the deal 😎

This little guy is a first for us! Someone in PEI reeeeaaaalllllyyyyy wanted a Brittany. So after a lot of back and forth discussion on options, we found a way to ship him! A third party delivery service for pets. It's a great option for cases like this. He's on the road now and we just received an update that he's doing really well. 🥰🥹👍

We had a beautiful litter of Brittanys, born on May the 4th (Star Wars Day 🌠🪐)

So we obviously gave these cuties the most appropriate names 🙌

They are sooo cuddly and affectionate. And smart as a whip.

We have been a little quiet over here as we have mourned the sudden loss of our dad and wonderful caretaker for our dogs, whenever we went away on holidays. He was always willing to lend a helping hand with our animals and we will miss him more than words can say. 💕

Confused about terms like "registered," "purebred," "bloodlines," and the like?

Sometimes we're asked about this. It's a fair question as these terms are sometimes used interchangeably. 🤷

To put it simply, all registered dogs are purebred, with papers to prove so. 🧾✅

These papers include a CKC registration certificate, and can include a pedigree. 📂

A pedigree shows the registered names of parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. 📝📜

Sometimes a dog can be "purebred" with no papers. Unless you trust the word of the breeders, who have proof of parents' pedigrees, there is little way of proving purity of genes, outside of genetic testing. 🧬🔬

Pedigrees are valuable because they can offer information regarding titles awarded to previous relatives. This is called "bloodlines." When a "CH" or "GCH" are on the pedigree preceding names, it refers to Champion and Grand Champion 🏆-- titles given when a dog wins at a showing, field trial, or the like. 🏅. Thus any dog with a pedigree containing these designations is a dog with championship bloodlines.
