Do you know what this is? This is a bat! That was found in a house.
Do you know that bats carry rabies? Rabies is potentially fatal, and can be spread from human to animal and vice versa.
So even if your pet doesn't go outside, rabies is still a risk !!!

But moommmmm, this is sooo embarrassing!

PLEASE... be sure to read labels on pet medications. A lot of over the counter flea and tick medications are NOT safe to use on, or even in the presence of, cats ! Toxicity signs can begin well after application. And can be fatal ! Great that the owners of this sweet cat brought him right in to the clinic for life-saving treatment !

So .. clients often ask if they should spay their dogs... if you are not planning to breed them, yes. One of the reasons why is to prevent a disease called pyometra. This is when the uterus is full of pus. Case in point is in the attached video......
