Heart’nsoul Persians & Himalayans
Heart'nsoul is a CFA & CCA registered hobby cattery located just outside of Tillsonburg, ON Canada. Our goal here at Heart'nsoul is to produce show quality chocolate and lilac Persians and Himalayans that meet the breed standard and who excel in health and stamina. We are proud to say that our cattery is 100% DNA PKD negative and FIV/FeLV negative. The health and well being of our cats and kittens is our number one priority. We pride ourselves in producing healthy, well socialized, quality Persian and Himalayan kittens. Our cattery is family run and our cats are treated as family first and foremost. They enjoy running around, climbing cat trees, batting toys and playing with our children (yes, the males included). Of course, as a responsible breeder, our males are confined to their own large enclosure (NOT cage) and they enjoy their very own cat tree, bed and toys while they are unable to be out loose. While we are in the cattery and they can be supervised, the males are allowed to run with the females in the main area of the cattery. Our mothers are only confined to enclosures when they are getting ready to give birth up until their kittens are a few weeks old. This is to protect both mom and kittens from injury or death and unnecessary stress (other cats bothering them). Whether pet quality or breeder/show quality; we love them all the same and therefore it is of the utmost importance to us that they ALL go to fantastic, loving, forever homes. We have a questionnaire, located on our website at ( http://www.heartnsoulpersians.com/questionnaire.htm ) must be completed before we will place any of our kittens with you. I would like to ensure that those interested in a Persian or Himalayan are aware that they will not be as “flawless” as they are in their photos UNLESS they are properly cared for. By this I mean that they must be regularly bathed with quality shampoos, blow dried and combed and their faces will need to be washed and dried daily. In the lighter colored Persians, a grooming powder should be used under their eyes to prevent tear stains. Show bowls or “water bottles” are most often needed to keep their ruffs stain free. Persians are prone to eye running and will easily become matted. People tend to fall in love with these guys, because lets face it, they are completely adorable. But keeping them healthy and happy means properly caring for them and grooming them on a regular basis OR taking them to get shaved twice a year. I felt it was necessary to mention this as many people don’t realize the amount of work that is involved if you want your new addition to look just like they do when you get them from the breeder.
