Let’s Talk Winter Dog Boots! Winter weather can be tough on your dog’s paws, so protecting those precious feet is a must! Dog boots help shield paws from harsh winter conditions like snow, ice, salt, and cold conditions that can cause irritation. 🌨️❄️ Boots also offer protection from frostbite, which is especially important for dogs who enjoy winter walks or cold snow adventures. 🐾

Our personal favourite for winter is the Canada Pooch Suspender Boots! These boots are durable, easy to put on, and stay on, even during active play in the snow. If properly fitted, they provide all-around protection while still allowing your pup to move naturally. In fact, 1/3 of the dogs in our packs wear them and we love how well they perform in winter conditions! 🌟

That said, every dog has different preferences! It's best to visit your nearest pet store location that carries dog boots, the employees can properly fit your pooch! This also allows you to test out a few different styles to see what works best for your dog!

Frosty afternoon! Another extreme cold advisory in effect but our pup pals were ready to face winter weather head on! Some of our friends came with their trusty booties, and we are happy to put them on! The frosty snow can cause:

🌨 Snow Abrasions: Ice and packed snow can act like sandpaper on your pup’s paw pads, leaving them cracked, sore, and downright ouchie.

⛄️ Snowball Drama: If your dog has fur between their toes, you know the struggle. Snowballs form, stick, and tug at their hair, making it feel like they’re wearing icy stilettos!

How to Help their Paws:
✔ Trim the Grinch Feet: Keep that toe fluff neat and tidy to prevent snow buildup.
✔ Paw Protection is Key: A little paw balm or wax creates a magical barrier against ice and cold. *Please note this does not protect against extreme temperatures
✔ Booties for the Win: Stylish and functional your dog will be the talk of the trail.
✔ Check Those Toes: A quick inspection keeps small problems from becoming big ones. We are always checking feet and removing snow build up where we can and when dogs allow!
