Its finally here!

We are excited to open registration for our 2025 season! We are currently registering for Puppy Head Start, Builders Level 1 and Builders Level 2.

Our initial schedule will be as follows:
-Puppy Head Start- Begins Tuesday April 22nd at 5:30pm with Angele
-Builders Level 1- Begins Tuesday April 22nd at 6:45pm with Angele
-Builders Level 2- Begins Monday April 28th at 6pm with Alyssa

Registration will remain open all year with classes starting every 4 weeks. Class days and times will vary. Spaces are limited and filled on a first registration basis.

New to The Dog Gym? Welcome!
We are an obedience and dog sport training facility right here in Timmins! Our spacious facility offers classes for beginner trainers up to those with experience, offering classes for all ages and breeds of dogs. Our core courses help you learn the basics of obedience and training while our sport courses help you advance your skills. Our goal is to help you find the joy in working with your dog and help keep your dog active and happy!

Its back!

Trick Training is once again running at The Dog Gym! This time we will be running an 8 week style course. Teams will learn 2-3 tricks per week that are all qualified for Do More With Your Dog trick dog titles. Teams will also have the chance to be evaluated at the end of the course to apply for their Novice title!

Trick training is a great way to build a fun, confident dog and find the joy in training. This course is open to all teams, no previous training required!

*Please note- we will not be doing any obedience or behavioural training during this course.

Tentative start date of September 26th 2024 so register soon! Classes are Thursdays at 6pm.

We had another amazing week at Kidz Dayz Camp last week! The kids all had a blast learning about different dog sports and career opportunities. The canine volunteers were assigned to each kid either in groups or by them selves and they spent the week learning new tricks that they were able to demonstrate for their parents on Friday.

Our community is fabulous and hosts a variety of different people in canine careers. We would like to thank everyone who made our camp a success. Megane with Run A Mutt, Christine Ratte from The Northern Collar Club, Alyssa The Dog Gym, Dr Emilie Kelly Millson Veterinary Services, Monica Pinchou Kennel , Lily & Kat The Wizard of Paws Inc.

Camp would not be able to happen without our amazing trainer Angele Gemme and her wonderful group of volunteers! Thank you!

We have had a very exciting week here at The Dog Gym! Kids camp has been going on all week and the kids and canines have had a blast!

Everyone was assigned a dog at the beginning of the week to work with on trick training and they got to show off for their parents today at graduation.

We also had a variety of guest speakers from all different kinds of canine careers. The kids were able to learn about dog grooming, training, agility, canine mushing and being a veterinarian. We would like to thank all of our guests, Dr Kelly Millson Veterinary Services, Alyssa our Dog Gym trainer, Meganne Run A Mutt, Christine The Northern Collar Club, and Stephanie from The Wizard of Paws Inc.

Our awesome Dog Gym trainer Angele Gemme who did an amazing job running our camp this week with her volunteers!

Lastly a big shout out to our canines from camp; Nemo, Hercules, Duffy, Lightning, Duke, Winston, Oscar, Gracie, Juno and Hoss!

Meet some of our recent Builders Level 1 Graduates!

Are you interested in training with us? Our focus in training is to help you better understand how dogs learn and how to keep training fun and engaging. In classes we work on the basics of obedience and leash manners but also help you build a positive and exciting working relationship with your dog!

Attn: Tuesday Rally class has been cancelled due to heat index! Students, please check your email for further information!

Stay safe out there everyone! Remember, your canine companions cannot sweat therefore will have a hard time cooling off in this humidity. Keep activity minimal and opt for cool activities like swimming or work on those skills indoors!

Wednesday students- we are monitoring the temperatures in the Gym and will notify you tomorrow afternoon if classes will continue to be cancelled. Keep an eye out for updates!

Kidz Days is back again this Summer!

We are very excited to be offering camp for 2 different weeks this year!

Has your child ever wanted to learn everything there is about dogs? What makes them tick, how to train them, and the best way to care for them? If so, look no further! If your child is between the ages of 8 and 14, this camp is made for them. They will learn everything they need to know about the different breeds, dog sports, anatomy, and how to train a variety of fun different tricks with much much more! 🐶

Your child will get assigned a dog at the beginning of the week. They will work alongside them to teaching tricks and will get to show them off at the end of the week. We will have daily guest presentations from breeders, dog trainers, animal medical professionals and many other experts in the field. The days will be filled with a variety of dog-related games, crafts, and educational interactive lessons, all coordinated by our trainer Angele. 🐕🐾

We are all set to go tonight with the first Builders Level 1 class this evening!
