For weekend or statutory holiday pound releases, please call the TDHS after-hours Emergency Line at (705) 365-7225 to make arrangements for pick between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
You must leave a detailed voicemail and your call will be returned.
Please know, to claim an animal from the TDHS, pet owners must provide the following:
1. Valid Photo ID.
2. Proof of ownership, such as photos or veterinary records.
3. A collar and leash, or carrier for transport home.
5. Payment of impound, license, boarding and/or necessary medical fees.
STRAY PETS AT THE TDHS:
The pets you see on this post are not currently available for adoption. They must be held for a designated time period (5 days) in order to give their owners, the opportunity to claim them.
