We have just been informed that the Veterinary Specialty Center (VSC) in St. John's does not have orthopedic surgery available for the time being. We wish them the best of luck in finding a new surgeon and are ready to help the families of NL in any way we can. If you have a furry family member with an orthopedic issue (cruciate tear, ligament or tendon injuries, joint instability, etc), please ask your vet about sending us a referral. Bracing is not a magical solution (nothing is), but it can be very effective as a treatment method or a temporary measure to stabilize an injury while waiting for surgery.

We are hoping to offer two Scent Detection Workshops after the Sanctioned Match this Sunday!

Beginner Workshop
For dogs who arent trained on odour yet. This workshop will cover:

- Intro to Scent
- How to build value for the scent
- Intro to the sport
- Search behaviours

Advanced Workshop
For dogs who are already started on odour. This workshop will cover:

- Exercises to increase value for the odour
- Search patterns
- Elevated hides
- Multi hides
- Search behaviours

We need 6 dogs per workshop to cover the costs associated, if we get these numbers I will send out registration to those who email showing interest.

DO NOT WALK YOUR DOG IN THIS HEAT 🥵🔥

With humidex it's 38 here in Tors Cove!!

Even a 15-30 minute walk is too long! You are putting your dog at risk for heat stroke!

Flat faced dogs are more at risk.

Walk in early morning or late evening. Always bring water with you.

We are filling up the kiddie pool right now for our dogs. If we go anywhere with them today it will be to a pond.

For the love of dogs DO NOT ever leave them in your car while you run your errands, not even for a couple minutes. Even if you leave the car running with AC...what if it malfunctions, then your dog will be in serious trouble.

Take care of those precious canines 💓

Chris and I are back from the Nova Scotia shows! We had a fabulous time and our dogs did awesome!

We’re showing here in Newfoundland this weekend if you want to check it out! The show is at The Boys and Girls Club Rec Center, Buckmaster circle from 9am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Admission is 5.00 each or 10.00 per family. **Please note only dogs entered in the show are permitted on the show grounds**

We will be back to regular work hours on Tuesday July 6th!

Dog Show season is back and in full swing which means we are busy and booking up quickly!

To ensure you get an appointment please book in advance. We are currently booking into the middle of July with the exception of June 13th still having a few appointment slots available.

Our summer hours are 9am-6pm Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 9am-9pm on Wednesdays.
