✨Meet Chester ✨ This very special man is looking for a very special home! He is a senior (9 years old) but you’d never guess it by his zest for life. He will be placed under SPR’s Compassionate Care Program due to kidney disease. This means SPR will cover his medical costs for the rest of his life. As you can see in the start of the reel, he’s had a tough life. When he was rescued, he flourished but his vetting revealed he has an illness. Our team fell head over hells in love with Chester at the shelter in Mexico, and vowed to find him a family in Canada who will provide him with the best final years of his life. Chester is a ray of sunshine wrapped up in fur. He is so full of love and light, and cannot wait to shower you with all of the affection and cuddles. His smile brings a smile to everyone around and he deserves to know what a real home and love is like 🤍Adopting out a dog with a medical condition is tough and we didn’t want cost to play a factor into finding his perfect home, so he had been placed in our compassionate care program with Sea Paws paying for his medical expenses so his family won’t have to take on that burden. Beanie was hit by a car and needed emergency FHO surgery and Edith was sadly bitten by another dog and needed her eye removed! Both dogs are now fully recovered and Beanie is now in his #SPRfurever home with Edith on her way in the next few days! Last night💫 Sea Paws Rescue welcomed 78 animals from Cayman Islands Humane Society🇰🇾 1 cat & 17 dogs (2 being bonded seniors) have now joined our #SPRfosterpack and are happily decompressing in their homes 🐾 Soon our country legends will be on the road to the place they belong furever their #SPRfurever homes🤍 Stay tuned for more as they are not available for adoption just yet! ✨PUPDATE CONGO LOOKING FOR HIS FUREVER HOME! APPLY NOW ON OUR WEBSITE✨ Smart, trained & good-looking...who could ask for more? We have had CONGO in our #SPRfosterpack since December. Congo is a very affectionate boy who loves to play & cuddle. Unfortunately, Congo suffered an attack by several dogs and was brought in for medical care at Cayman Islands Humane Society, prior to moving to Canada. He had clearly spent some time on the street and coming into a home environment was a challenge for him – But nothing this resilient pup couldn’t adapt to as now he is thriving! Congo has shown no issues with other dogs outside but when bringing dogs into his home he will need to be properly introduced outdoors first. At this time, Congo has not been cat or child tested. Congo is fully crate, potty trained & has no problem sleeping soundly through the night. He has great house manners, does not chew & isn’t destructive. He is respectful on leash and walks pleasantly with his handler. Congo responds well to positive reinforcement training, he knows “sit, stay, heel, come, lie down” & also what “no” means. He wants to be close to his people, follow them around and silently observe. If you sit on the floor with him, he won't leave your side and will always have a paw resting on you! If you are an experienced dog owner this guy will be your perfect match! His perfect furever home will be consistency with his training & boundaries as he has worked though resource guard with his food! Currently congo is quite fearful when riding in cars, his foster parent is working on this with him through repetitive exposure to show him the car is not a scary place. He is searching for a home with adults or older children with some knowledge surrounding boundaries and training. You will need to earn Congo’s trust but once he trusts you, he is the most affectionate, loyal dog & trainable dog who is egged to please! To adopt CONGO please visit seapawsrescue.org/adoptab
