Today is a hard day, today I said goodbye to my little Java. Thank you to Bloor West Village Animal Hospital for making this day go as smoothly as possible. I am grateful for Java to not have to endure the extreme pain she struggled through these past few months. It was time to let you be free. Goodbye Java It was March 15th 2006 the first time we met. You were this itty bitty brown puppy, the only brown one in your one of a kind litter. I was 23 years old. You were my first own dog from puppyhood. You moved homes with me 9 times in your 19 years. You’ve been with me through half my adulthood and I couldn’t be more honoured to have been your momma all this time. You went through watching me go through so many ups and downs in my adult life right by my side. You were such a funny little girl. Up until you were roughly 16 you acted like a puppy every single day. But one of the best thinigs about you was your humorous personality. Your quirks were hilarious. Your strange disgusting obsession when someone would blow their nose or cough up phlegm was so nasty but it was you 🥰, your goofy little head wiggle and side smile made me laugh even if I was in the crummiest mood 🥰. When you were 10 weeks old and you found your howl, it was so stinking cute I wanted you to never stop doing it 🥰, or how many times we all accidentally sat on you because you would burrow yourself in the couch cushions🥰,I’ll never forget how terrified you were when I was pregnant with Theo, but then he was born and you mothered him by my side, the love you had for him was so special 🥰, how you bonded with your missed brother Baboo and your missed sister Sally and your last sister Ruby. You were an amazing dog. I will never forget you. I love you my little abazabba, Java monkey, Java the mutt, zoomie queen Java. Find Charlie, Benny, Sally, and Baboo and tell them I say hi.
