There's new friendly faces on the Farm! Two 5-week old Tamworth piglets arrived on August 26.

Tamworth is among the oldest of domestic pig breeds and does well in winter climate areas such as Scotland and Canada. Tamworths are typically a golden-red coloured pig with a long head, prick ears, a straight face and snout and a long, narrow body.

Indoor exhibits are currently closed during COVID-19, but animals are out in their paddock, pen or pond. The Pig and Poultry Barn is located to the east of Simpson House.

Riverdale Farm is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last entrance at 4:45 p.m.
