This is ๐ฝ๐๐ฎ๐ค๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฃ๐๐. Their animals have 100% access to fresh green grass during the pasture season. We are so proud to be working with farms that have certified sustainable and natural farming practices! โข A couple of weeks ago we created a poll and asked if you preferred โuncleaned gizzardsโ or โcleaned gizzardsโ in our chicken mix.
โข As you can see, the โuncleaned gizzardsโ of our pasture-raised chickens contain undigested grass which is highly nutritious. However, they also contain grit (small stones) which are consumed by the chickens to help break down the grass. These are small enough to pass through your petโs stool with no issues.
โข The feedback we received was about 50/50. A handful of you were not fond of the grit and would hand pick them out. Therefore, we decided to no longer request uncleaned gizzards. They will be clean from now on!
โข We appreciate your honest feedback. As much as we care about your pets, we take our customers concerns/preferences seriously. We may still have some chicken with uncleaned gizzards in stock so please let us know your preference!
โข On a side note, the contents of gizzards are a clear indication on whether the chicken is in fact, pasture-raised.
โข Gizzards contain Vitamin B12, which is essential for brain function and forming white blood cells, Niacin, which is beneficial for circulation and producing hormones, and Riboflavin, which keeps the skin and fur healthy.๐
โข From your knowledge, do other raw food companies include gizzards in their mix? (Gizzards are not cheap ๐)
