My personal choice in dog care was not to rush for ha
lf hour or hour dog walks, but to spend time with the dogs I was caring for and play and walk and work with them and be the one they trust when Mom or Dad can't watch them. I have decided to work only in the Yorkville area. I also have a set maximum number of 4 dogs to start my daily dog care. I will also only take 1 client at a time in regards to boarding unless otherwise agreed upon between dog owners wanting to board at the same time. It’s a first come first served basis. I want to have a day care feeling for the dogs to the point where if ever there was a time when all 4 clients needed boarding at the same time, the dogs would never have issues in spending that much time with each other as they would possibly be their daily dog walking buddies. Day Care (I pick your dog up from your home and drop off at end of day): I offer daily dog care Monday to Friday. The time is between 11am and 3pm. Pick up is anywhere between 1030am and 1130am and drop off is anywhere between 230pm to 330pm. Each dog will have a minimum of 3 hours to maximum of 4 hours of dog care. The daily fee per dog is $25. My clients regard their dogs as their family members and have decided not to go the traditional route of the half hour or hour hectic schedule. They have chosen to find daily care with a variety of tasks throughout the daily visit. Walking, off leash pack play, basic training, water breaks, rest breaks if the weather is rough, quality cuddle time, etc. The day care hours do not go outside the stated schedule. Boarding (You drop off/pick up your dog and all food and belongings or you can request a pick up/drop off fee of $10 each way): I offer boarding but please be aware that the sooner you book the more success in available dates. As stated above, this is a first come first served basis. Most likely, all scenarios can be worked out so please communicate with me. My priority is to make sure your dog is NOT stressed during your absence or the process leading up to your departure. The dogs who I board will stay at 182 Davenport and I stay at the studio during the duration of the boarding. There is a back room for all dogs that stay in my care and the dogs still participate in the “Day Care” program each day of boarding. There is plenty of space to play, run and sleep. They also will have access to their own local parks and areas to walk so each dog is still in their environment when Mom or Dad is away. The quality time during a boarding session is second to none as your dog becomes part of my family during its stay with me. The daily fees for boarding are $40 per day for first 6 days and $30 (a reduction of $10 per day) on and after day 7 and later. There is an additional 25% charge on Holidays but please discuss as soon as possible for available dates. For 1 additional dog in the house, there will be a 25% discount subtracted from your total bill. Please note: there may be additional fees depending on additional requests. Diabetic, recovering from illness, etc. So those are the 2 services I’m offering at this time. I am just starting out in the neighbourhood and as I said, I only have 4 spots to start out with for the day care and the boarding will be VIP and very one on one time with your dog(s). I am presently not insured for a large scale dog company, but that will be something in the future. Just as Home Day Care for children, I am not a corporate entity, but will ensure your dog’s safety at all times and am trained to do so. I have a few requests though. They are as follows:
The first step is to meet you and your dog in your home. This is a great way to have your dog meet me and get to know your furry guys. Once we have confirmed a good fit we can discuss a start date with day care or dates for boarding. Requirements:
• All dogs must have a secure leashes or harness with a name tag/phone # attached at all times.
• We do not accept any prong, choking, or any aversive collars
• All leashes should be around 6ft and in good form. We do not accept retractable leashes
• All dogs must be neutered/spayed after 1 year of age
• Up to date with Vaccinations
• Minimum of 14 week of age (3rd round of puppy shots required)
• Must be able to walk on a leash without pulling. We recommend the front lead harness for dogs that pull
• All dogs must be comfortable with humans other than their owners, with no bite history.
• Please leave all necessary cleaning/towel supplies visible so we can clean them off on wet days
