Why is it so expensive?

Sometimes such questions come from people who want to adopt a pet. What factors contribute to the total cost?

A street animal in need typically requires:
- Initial veterinary examination
- Treatment for parasites
- Vaccinations
- Blood tests for:
- General blood analysis
- testing for Dirofilaria
- f***l and blood parasites testing
- Dental cleaning and dental work if needed
- Grooming
- Sterilization
- Food
- Temporary housing

And this is if the animal is lucky and doesn’t have serious injuries. If the animal is from Europe, the cost includes travel expenses for both the pet and the person accompanying it. If it’s local, you know the prices for vet visits; if not, you can find them on vet websites.

Also, the adoption fee reflects responsibility. A pet needs regular check-ups to monitor its health and receive timely medical assistance. If a potential owner isn’t willing to pay an amount equivalent to a vet visit upfront, what’s the likelihood they’ll take the animal to the vet when needed?

So, let’s sum it up: in your opinion, what’s a reasonable adoption fee?

Мы non profit организация, которая спасает животных. Обычно все расходы идут из личного счета. Но ситуация складывается, что сейчас мы вынуждены просить о помощи.
Сложность с животными с улицы в том, что никогда не знаешь, что обнаружишь спустя время. Как отразится стресс в будущем на организме.

1. Тоша (собака) - расстройство ЖКТ. Ему нужны лекарства и специальная диета. Регулярные визиты ветеринара и как результат многие потенциальные семьи отказываются чуть заслышав о проблеме со здоровьем.
2. Феликс (кот) - инфекция в мочеполовой системе. Перелёт и стресс- всё это усугубило его восстановление. Ветеринар, специальная диета и постоянные анализы.
3. Кошка Марика - нужно удалять зубы. Молодая, но из-за того, что была в ужасающих условиях на улице, а после переполненный приют - ауто иммунное заболевание как результат перенесённых инфекций. Кошка страдает.
4. Степа (собака) - проходит восстановление после операции по удалению бедренной головки. Мы нашли его на улице, хромающего, в клещах и вшах.
5. Купер (собака) - анализы показали заражение паразитами, что может привести к летальному исходу. А может и не привести. Это лотерея.

Dear Friends and Animal Lovers,

Our furry friend, Stepa has been struck by tragedy.
In a horrifying accident, he was hit by a car and suffered a pelvic fracture. This sweet soul is now in pain and in need of immediate medical attention.
Stepa was trying to survive on the streets for a long time. He was found covered in ticks, having fractured back leg, infected wounds and hungry.
Our volunteers took him into their care.

The road to recovery for Stepa will be long, but with the right medical care and support, we believe he can overcome this obstacle. However, the cost of his veterinary treatments is beyond what we can manage alone. That's why we're reaching out to our community, both near and far, for help.

Every dollar donated will go directly towards covering the expenses of Stepa’s surgery, medications, rehabilitation, and follow-up care. Your generosity will not only alleviate his suffering but also give him a chance to walk, run, and play again. And the most important - to find his forever soulmate.

For every 1 rescued animal, there are at least 10 homeless, and God knows how many have been killed. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't continue to rescue.

A new dog Stephan arrived into our care. Life has been unkind to him—worms, ticks, a terrible infected wound on his head, a traumatized paw, a shattered pelvis.

But now he has a chance. He is safe and under supervision at the temporary shelter.

Follow us ❤️ Let’s make more animals happy

When a new animal enters the house, hugs and kisses won’t necessarily benefit it. Give the pet time to settle in, explore, and sniff around. Let it feel safe.

During the first couple of days, don’t leave the animal alone at home. Show it that you’re nearby and trustworthy. Offer a few toys to choose from to help pass the time, socialize more quickly, and explore the surrounding world more easily.

To prepare for the arrival of a pet at home, follow these steps:

𝓝𝓪𝓲𝓵 𝓒𝓪𝓻𝓮 - a scratching post and nail clippers
Comfortable 𝓢𝓵𝓮𝓮𝓹𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓐𝓻𝓮𝓪
𝓣𝓸𝔂𝓼 for activities and play
𝓗𝔂𝓰𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓮 𝓘𝓽𝓮𝓶𝓼 - a collar, leash, comb

I̳m̳p̳o̳r̳t̳a̳n̳t̳ ̳S̳a̳f̳e̳t̳y̳ ̳M̳e̳a̳s̳u̳r̳e̳s̳:̳

Remove all flowers that are toxic to the pet, placing them out of reach.
Collect small items (threads, Christmas tinsel, styrofoam, etc.) that could be hazardous.

Eliminate sharp or cutting objects from the pet's environment.
If there are children in the household, it's essential to prepare them and explain how to interact appropriately with the new pet.

Tosha is a handsome boy with a coat as soft as caramel and eyes as warm as the summer sun.

Tosha was the epitome of charm and loyalty. But his life had taken a tragic turn when he was abandoned by his previous owners. His family, for reasons unknown to him, had left him behind.

Alone and vulnerable, Tosha wandered the streets in search of shelter and food. Just as he ventured onto a busy road, a speeding car came hurtling towards him, its headlights glaring in the darkness.

With a sickening thud, Tosha was thrown to the ground, pain shooting through his body like a lightning bolt.

In the morning, a kind-hearted people spotted him and rushed him to the nearest animal shelter, where compassionate hands worked tirelessly to save his life. Despite his injuries, Tosha's spirit remained unbroken.

As he lay in his kennel, nursing his wounds and longing for a family to call his own, Tosha watched with hopeful eyes as visitors came and went, each one leaving with a furry companion by their side. But time passed, and still, no one came for him.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months, but Tosha refused to lose hope. He knows that somewhere out there, a family is waiting for him—a family who would see past his scars and cherish him for the loving and loyal companion that he is.

In the darkness of the night the parking lot seemed to stretch endlessly….

A small black , with glossy fur stood amidst parked cars. The dog probably had a name given to him by the family who had once cared for him but, for reasons unknown to the little canine, had left him stranded in this unfamiliar place.

The dog’s eyes reflected a mixture of confusion and sadness as he scanned the surroundings, desperately searching for a familiar face that never appeared. The wind whispered through the silent rows of vehicles, and the distant hum of traffic served as a lonely soundtrack to his solitude.

Confused and scared, he sought refuge under a car. He made a small space for himself, nestled among the tires and shadows. It was a cold and lonely place for a little dog.
His once wagging tail now drooped, and his ears, once perky, now hung low. Abandoned and unsure of what to do next, the little dog's heartache was palpable.

For few weeks, the dog survived under the car. He scavenged for food, relying on the occasional scraps that people would drop. Each passing day felt like an eternity, and his once-shiny coat became matted and dull.

One of the animal rescue volunteers was contacted by local people about the abandoned little black dog. We decided to step in and take this dog to safety.

With patience and kindness, they coaxed him out from under the car and into a warm blanket. Cooper (this is how we named him) though initially scared, felt the gentle touch of care and love.

Our animal group is providing Cooper with medical attention, a warm bed, and nutritious meals. As days passed, Cooper’s spirits lifted, he is starting to trust people again, realizing that not everyone would abandon him.

We have official bonded couple, ready for adoption cannot be separated)
Evan and Fanya, Romeo and Juliet. They have met after the street at first foster, thats when Evan decided they are inseparable.
Fanya was at another foster after and Evan lost the taste of life. He only ate and sleep and was waiting for his best friend.
Once reunited after 2 weeks, his eyes sparkled and he came back to his usual self) playful and full of adventure.

During the scorching heat of summer, a man walking down the street heard a faint, desperate meow that tugged at his heartstrings.
