Happy Tails, Faye!

Faye’s story is one of strength, love, and new beginnings. This incredible mom to the Group of Seven Pups stole hearts from the moment she arrived in early November. Having lived as an outdoor dog, raising her seven pups at just three weeks old, Faye showed us all how strong and sweet she truly is. Despite her tough start, her enthusiasm, affection, and silly antics quickly won everyone over.

Faye’s bubbly personality made her a favourite, but one couple stood out above the rest. Monica and Mike, who had recently settled into their east Scarborough home, knew they were ready to welcome a dog of their own. At the meet-and-greet, Faye was equally charmed, and a week later, she officially became part of their family!

Now, Faye is thriving in her new home—exploring local trails, meeting new dog friends in the neighbourhood, and enjoying all the love and attention she deserves. 🐕🌳

A huge thank you to the IFAW Northern Dog Project and Faye’s amazing foster mom, Kayla, who not only drove north to pick up Faye and her pups but also gave this wonderful girl her first taste of home life—comfy beds, regular meals, and so much love.

Here’s to Faye’s beautiful new chapter and the incredible teamwork that made it all possible. Let’s celebrate this happy ending - share some love for Faye and her new family!

We are now accepting applications for recent intake Annie!

Sweet little Annie has just begun her journey to discovering the life she truly deserves. ❤️ Two weeks ago, Annie joined Precious Paws alongside her friend Zoey, leaving behind her life as a retired breeding Shih Tzu. At an older age, Annie is only now starting to explore the world beyond the barn she once called home.

Annie is a curious and gentle soul, slowly adapting to living in a home. She’s learning to trust, becoming braver every day, and forming a strong bond with her foster mom. With two resident dogs and cats to show her the ropes, Annie is taking her first steps towards understanding what it means to just be a dog. 🐾

She’s scheduled for a spay and dental in the coming weeks, so Annie won’t be ready for her forever home for at least a month or more. In the meantime, she’s decompressing, building confidence, and discovering the joy of new experiences and new people.

We are looking for a special adopter who is patient, compassionate, and ready to give Annie the time she needs to continue blossoming. If you have the love and understanding to offer this precious girl, we’d love to hear from you! 💕

Happy Tails, Pepper!

Pepper's journey with us has been nothing short of special. She joined Hopeful Tails in November, all the way from a remote community in Northern Quebec. But this wasn't the first time we'd met her—we had already welcomed two of her sweet pups months earlier, and from the start, we knew Pepper was extraordinary. ❤️

Jessica and Paul, familiar faces in the rescue world, stepped forward to apply for Pepper and another dog. Their hearts had a northern-shaped hole after recently losing their beloved Labrador rescue, a dog Jessica had fostered during university in Newfoundland. They were seeking an active companion to match their family’s love of trails, running, and adventure—someone who could keep up with their kids and bring a wagging tail back into their lives. 🐾

Pepper was the perfect fit. Fostering her only confirmed what Jessica and Paul already suspected: she belonged with them. Now, Pepper is living her best life, running the trails and soaking up the love she so deserves.

A big shoutout to IFAW Northern Dog Project and to her amazing foster moms, Lynn and Kayla, for playing such a big role in her journey. 💕

We can’t wait for updates from Pepper’s forever family. Let’s celebrate another happy ending made possible by the incredible power of rescue! Share some love for Pepper and her new family!

Welcome, Heidi!

This gorgeous girl made her way to us over the weekend, and she’s already settling in beautifully with her foster sister and parents. Heidi is a stunning Lab/Shepherd mix with a personality as bright as her smile. At just eighteen months old, she’s full of life and ready for her next adventure.

Heidi is the happiest pup you’ll ever meet—always ready for a pat, a kiss, and to make friends with every dog she sees. She’s already spayed and microchipped, so she’s well on her way to being ready for her forever home.

What is Heidi looking for in her new family?

An active household that matches her playful energy.

A yard would be a bonus, but it’s not a must if she gets lots of outdoor time. Heidi absolutely loves being outside, especially when there’s a ball to chase!

We’re still getting to know this sweet girl, so stay tuned for updates as we learn more about her and help her prepare for her happily-ever-after.
