Nice weekend got the Seabury pups. Oakley group 2 twice under Judges Duggan and Dainard and group 3 under Judge Prineau. Breed x 4 at Belleville. And Kono breed under Judge Blanchard in West Springfield today and 2 selects. Bertha reserve today.

Sophie was Ruby's first born Baylee puppy, from the beginning she let us know she was staying. And along with her brother, Franklin, she took us on quite a journey. We first met Leo Hui when I took the pups to his handling class. They both made an impression as they would not brook Leo touching them. I thought "what have I gotten into?". Her first meeting with Will Alexander went pretty much the same, but they quickly formed a detente and she became quite the show dog. Two select ribbons at Westminster, Select Bitch and AOM at the PWDCA national under Edd Bivin, top ranked BOS bitch in the U.S., get with Frank for Ruby's best brood bitch at the PWDCA National. Pretty much always in the ribbons when shown as a vet. But not without the special Sophie antics. I remember sitting in the stands at Westminster, Sophie and Ashley Martins in the ring, after the exam, Soph pulled her characteristic deep bow and jump before getting going, a jump that reached above Ash's shoulders, and I thought oh no, not here! But she knew her job and glided around the ring to her second select.
She was a wonderful dam to her two litters, producing a son and grandson NBISS in two countries. She loved to retrieve and swim and did everything with typical Sophie gusto! A spirited sweet sassy girl, her last job was keeping her dam Ruby company and looking after Polina and Elliott's new baby, Teddy, a job she took very seriously in between cuddles with Polina.
We will miss her forever, run free dear Soph...

Oakley had a nice weekend at Cornwall, Gr2 Limited Group 2 under Judge Pierrette McLean, Group 1 under Judge Jon Cole. Well done Melodie-Ann Guerit! And congrats to my co-breeder Leo Hui on his Aussie, Matilda's Best in Show today!

Happy 12th birthday to Sophie Tucker and Franklin and their litter mates Cassie, Peaches, Kona, Emma and at the rainbow bridge Kloe and Licorice. Ruby/Baylee pups. Momma Ruby going strong at 16 yr 3 months. What a journey it's been with our two!

Good luck to Melodie-Ann Guerit and Joanne Jess Thibault our talented handlers! Leo and I will be watching from the whelping box!
