Had another successful program at Nurture the Nature Forest School! Was great to work with a slightly larger group of kids who were all so attentive and curious to learn about some of the new animals I brought for them. It’s always such a pleasure working with this school, especially because of the opportunity it gives our future generation to learn more about and engage with the natural world.

Spring is in the air and that means we’re gunna start seeing more of these little guys pop up 💚 If you’d like to be added to the waitlist all you gotta do is:

-Include your name and preferred method of contact (phone number, e-mail, or both)
And that’s it! Please note babies are usually only sold in pairs (sometimes exceptions are made for those who already have other babies within a similar size and age range). They are all related to each other and unfortunately I don’t have other bloodlines at this moment (I’m working on that but I can direct you to other breeders in the meantime). Current market value is $550 for a pair ($275 each). Shipping with live arrival guaranteed is available anywhere in Canada (shipping costs are extra and vary on your location). Waitlist time can vary and could take weeks or months as I have a limited supply of babies that I get in a year. On behalf of the Barczyk family and our entire team at The Reptarium, it is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Brian Barczyk.

More than the guiding light of our organization, Brian's fervent passion for reptiles and wildlife, along with his steadfast dedication to education, has touched innumerable hearts and minds globally.

Our deepest sympathies are with Brian's family, his friends, and all those whose lives he has touched. We've lost an exceptional individual – a visionary, mentor, and friend. For those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him, Brian's absence leaves an immeasurable void.
As we navigate this difficult time, we find comfort in the memories and the lasting light of Brian's work. He will be deeply missed but indeed, never forgotten.

The Barczyk family invites you to join us for a Public Memorial Walk-through to honor Brian’s memory. The event will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Heritage Church, located at 44625 Schoenherr Rd. Sterling Heights, MI 48313 from 1-3pm.

I’m absolutely heartbroken and in tears after watching Brian Barczyk’s video today…I saw the title of the video and knew I’d have to emotionally and mentally prepare myself before watching. I never had the opportunity to meet Brian and am slightly envious of those who got to meet this magnificent human being. I was lucky enough to have had a surprise visit to the Reptarium back in October when I took my first trip down to the USA. I got to see first hand the amazing work he’s done and was able to meet a lot of the beautiful animals that I’ve seen adored by others on social media. I can’t believe the impact Brian has had on the community. Anytime I talked to new reptile keepers, young and old, they’d always say something along the lines of “we love watching that Brian Barczyk guy!”. It was quite clear that he had a powerful influence on the reptile hobby and even inspired many others into becoming new hobbyists themselves. He was an open door for so many and I see the path he has paved for others. His soul had a mission that was guided by a passion for wildlife and education. You’ve succeeded your mission now and people will never forget you Brian, they will remember your name for generations to come. We may not see you when the Legacy Aquarium opens but we all know you will be there ❤️ P.S Say hi to Steve for us when you see him 🙏

The last Tree Skinks of 2023! Breeding Tree Skinks has by far been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. When I started keeping this species a few years ago people were just starting to take interest in them but there were no captive breeding efforts in Canada yet (to my knowledge). After a year of keeping this species I hatched my first pair of Emerald Tree Skinks. I shared what little information I could find on them through my YouTube channel and shared my own experiences with keeping this species. Before I knew it, I was selling Emerald Tree Skink babies left and right all over Canada. I could not keep up with the demand and could not expand my breeding efforts due to limited space. But now I’ve started to connect with many new people keeping and breeding this species, creating new bloodlines, collecting and observing new information and starting to establish this species more within Canada. I look forward to seeing what the New Year will bring for Emerald Tree Skinks in 2024 and thank you to everyone I’ve met and connected with through keeping this species.
