It’s Black Fur-day!

We are having a bit of deja vu over here, as this time last year we featured our adoptable dogs with black coats and both of these boys were featured then 😞

Black Dog Syndrome is the phenomenon that black dogs are less like to be adopted than lighter dogs. Some shelters report that black dogs spend 3-4 times as long waiting for adoption.

Possible reasons for this include:
-That it’s harder to photograph and capture their emotions (though look at these photos - we think we can debunk that!)
-Black dogs are often portrayed as big and intimidating in movies
-Superstitions and folklore related to the colour black being a bad omen

Both Prince and Jake have been in foster care for nearly 18 months. For Jake, that’s almost half his life. These two boys are both so deserving of families of their own and we know they are out there!

Both have similar desires in a forever home, particularly no other pets and no young children. Both Jake and Prince benefit from a calm environment, with direct access outdoors and they would each LOVE a backyard.

We brought pups to the pews!

This is Copper, our Youth Minister Liberty's adorable pup and little worshipper on a recent Sunday. They couldn’t resist joining us for service and looks like they found the perfect view in the pew! We’re here for all creatures, great and small.
