To deliver the best dog behaviour and training advice to you, it's crucial we invest in continuing education. That's why this year, we sent our Toronto team to participate in the second annual 3-day Dogs in the City Conference hosted by Educanine. By attending this conference, we're demonstrating a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest research and techniques, expanding our skill sets by learning from renowned experts, improving client outcomes with enhanced knowledge, and networking with fellow professionals to share experiences and build relationships within the industry.
The esteemed presenters included:
Dr. Kristina Spaulding, author of Stress Factor in Dogs. By understanding a bit about the neuroscience behind stress responses, we're more effective in helping dogs that are overwhelmed by the urban environments we live in.
Emily Strong, co-author of Canine Enrichment for the Real World. Implementing canine enrichment strategies can significantly improve the welfare of our dog's lives, which often helps improve training and behaviour outcomes.
Sam DeJong, Certified Control Unleashed Instructor. Control Unleashed exercises are often where the theory meets practice, and by mastering the nuances of these exercises by an instructor that's been certified by Leslie McDevitt herself, we'll be more effective when we coach you.
2025 is just around the corner, and we look forward to further investments in our continuing education!
