Hurray!

Here's breaking news from BC. Earlier today little Ms Lulu and her partner passed the Guide & Service Dog certification test with flying colours. These tests are conducted by BC Government appointed examiners, which is a process Citadel Canine fully supports. And it looks like somebody passed on a much-deserved celebratory bouquet! CONGRATS to this team, and do enjoy your new status as a fully certified service dog team. WOOF!! 🥰 😜

Simply spay or neuter to save lives.

Cats impregnated now will give birth in the winter. Kittens born outdoors in the cold weather often don't survive the elements. If you are feeding outdoor cats, please make sure they are spayed or neutered to avoid this outcome.

Odin’s confident pose says “I’m ready”, let’s send him and his trainer best wishes on getting certified.🌈🌈

From Nova Scotia and then Ontario lets now scoot back out West to Banff, AB. This a truly superb photo of "Odin", a picture perfect example of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Odin's partner/handler is an EMT member in the Saskatoon area and this photo was taken when the family was on an early Spring trip to Banff; just one day before the full pandemic shutdown. That explains the empty streets. Odin and his partner have been a dream team for trainer Jerri to work with, and we are now making plans for their certification testing. Let's wish them well with that next step!! :) :) :)

Look at that smile, George is loving getting his nails trimmed :) Wizard of Paws this harness is awesome!!

George used to hate nail trims but now thanks to our new shop upgrades he can hang out, and his nail trims are comfy and stress free! Our first offical day back was a success, thank you all for your patience as we make our way down the wait list. 🛁

Heartbreaking. Our sincerest condolences.

More terribly sad news in what continues to be a very challenging year. Everyone from within the Citadel Canine family extends our sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family, fellow service members, and friends of RCAF Capt. Jennifer Casey, from Halifax, NS. Capt. Casey perished earlier Sunday, May 17th in Kamloops, BC. Casey was the public affairs officer with The Snowbirds, who were completing the final segments of their cross-Canada "Operation Inspiration" mission to say Thank You to healthcare workers and first responders during the Covid-19 pandemic. 😢😢
