I have worked with hundreds of dogs over the years and because I specialize in puppies ive watched many of them grow up from the time they were babies. Each one that moves away or passes takes a piece of my heart with them, so when I have them I always tell them auntie loves them and get in as many cuddles as I can.

A heartfelt thank you to all those who took the time to wish me a happy birthday. I didn't celebrate last year with everything that happened. Trying to find joy through all the grief has been a daily struggle, but I am slowly learning to accept that being happy doesn't mean I have forgotten or that I do not feel the loss and it is ok to feel joy again. Today, I was surrounded by some of my oldest and best friends, whom I fondly refer to as my best squad. Aside from Rob, I have known most of them for over 20 years and my bff for 39 years (i am aging myself i know). I haven't seen some of them for a while as I've been trying to be kind to myself which sometimes means I just want to be a hermit, but seeing them today just reminded me how lucky I am to be so loved, supported, and seen by those who know me best. To my husband, you made my day because what you wrote in my card (the gift wasn't bad either :p). Thank-you bestie squad love you guys!
