Kygo and Congo want to wish all a happy Pride 🏳️🌈 / Canada Day 🇨🇦 long weekend! They hope everyone has a fun and relaxing time. Just remember to make sure your furry friends are safe and calm during any fireworks 🎆. The clinic will be closed on Monday, July 1st, so our staff can enjoy the holidays. We will reopen Tuesday, July 2nd at 8am.
This week, we celebrated the birthdays of both Jack, CSR, and Fernando, technician, with a fabulous 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ cake from . Kygo, the Golden Retriever, really hoped it was his birthday too so he could have some of that rainbow cake!!

🚨Attention Travelling Pet Parents🚨
Effective August 1, 2024, pet parents must adhere to new CDC requirements for importing dogs into the U.S. through all borders, including land and air. Key requirements include:
1️⃣Dogs must appear healthy upon arrival.
2️⃣Dogs must be at least six months old.
3️⃣Dogs must have an ISO-compatible microchip for identification.
4️⃣Dogs must have a Certification of Foreign or U.S.-issued Rabies Vaccination**
5️⃣Dogs must be accompanied by a CDC Dog Import Form receipt
☝🏼Additional requirements vary based on the dog's country of origin and vaccination status
These rules apply to all dogs, including puppies, service animals, and dogs that left the United States and are returning. They also apply whether you are a U.S. citizen, legal U.S. resident, or foreign national.

Once you know what your pet needs, contact your veterinarian for any required vaccinations, microchips, or examinations, etc.

**When traveling from Canada to the USA, dogs without rabies vaccinations may still enter, as Canada is deemed a 'low risk' country (provided the dog has not traveled to certain countries within the past six months). Required documentation and a microchip are necessary, but a rabies vaccine is not mandatory. However, without the rabies vaccination, the paperwork is valid for only a single entry into the USA for up to 30 days. In contrast, vaccinated dogs can enjoy significantly longer validity and multiple entries.
While Congo is working on his inventory, our staff will be working hard on the clinic inventory on TUESDAY, APRIL 30TH. The clinic will remain open to serve our patients, but we WON'T be filling any food or medications on Tuesday. Please submit any URGENT requests early MONDAY, either by phone or email.

Born to a feral cat just a few minutes' walk from Woodbine Animal Clinic, 5 kittens (3 males and 2 females) are available for adoption November 12-18. Wow, it’s hard to believe it’s JUNE! Just a few reminders about the protocols we still have in place to maintain human distancing and manage the unusual demands of this time. - Our operating hours have been reduced. Currently we are open 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday and closed on weekends. - Our doors are still locked and humans are not permitted inside the clinic. Upon arrival, please knock and stand back. Please be mindful of distancing out on the sidewalk and around our entrance as there may be other people and animals waiting. - We have suspended online scheduling for the time being so that we can assess each booking on a case-by-case basis. We ARE offering full services again, including annual exams, spring bloodwork, and surgeries. Please call us to determine if and when your pet should come in to see us.
