Atlas was diagnosed with a less common form of lymphoma (mediastinal) that was causing fluid to accumulate around his lung, had altered calcium levels in his body and even infiltrated into his bone marrow. Atlas was started on an aggressive chemotherapy protocol and his lymphoma began to quickly respond! Several months later, Atlas was ringing the bell with his mom with no signs of the cancer! Atlas is now on a well-deserved break from therapy and enjoying life to its fullest! Congratulations to Atlas and his family!!
Meet Max! Before and after pictures would have served Max very well. When Max first presented to the TVEH Oncology Service, he was covered in red and raw skin lesions all over his body. Max was subsequently diagnosed with a form of lymphoma affecting his skin. Well look at Max now! After several months of chemotherapy, Max and his family celebrated his clinical remission by ringing the bell together. Felicidades!!
Betty’s journey has been one of perseverance and now triumph! Betty was not feeling well in the early days following her diagnosis of lymphoma. Treatment got her cancer under control and at the same time significantly improved Betty’s quality of life. That quality persisted over the next 6 months. Betty’s triumph came the day she received her last dose of chemotherapy while still in complete remission! The bell rang out for Betty and her mom that day!! Congratulations Betty!
Meet Delilah! This sweet and gentle soul was diagnosed with a cancer, histiocytic sarcoma, that necessitated amputation of her front leg and chemotherapy. Despite all of this, Delilah never lost her zest for life! Delilah’s journey was punctuated by ringing the bell with her family! Congratulations Delilah!
We are extending a huge congratulations to Dixon and his family! Diagnosed with lymphoma, Dixon has undergone several months of chemotherapy only to come out the other side in complete remission! Dixon is now receiving a well-deserved break after celebrating this momentous news with his family! So excited for Dixon!
Charlie
Congratulations to Charlie for completing his cancer treatment! This shy little guy was diagnosed with an uncommon form of lymphoma, but one that still necessitates aggressive chemotherapy. Charlie quickly achieved a remission, and after 6 months of unwavering courage and perseverance, Charlie and his mom excitedly rang the bell together! Way to go Charlie!
Buddy
Congratulations to Buddy and his dedicated family! Buddy was diagnosed with lymphoma following surgical removal of one of his kidneys. Buddy then underwent chemotherapy demonstrating courage and strength throughout! Buddy and his mom recently got to ring the bell with the news that Buddy’s cancer is still in remission! Now done treatment, we wish him all the health, happiness, and tail-wags in the world!
No patient brings more joy to the halls of TVEH than Sophie! Everyone knows Sophie! Her unwavering spirit is infectious and watching her walk herself around (leash in mouth) always gets an ‘awww!’. Sophie just finished her second chemotherapy protocol in her journey against canine lymphoma. We wish Sophie many cancer-free days ahead!
Ellie
Ellie did it again! Congratulations to Ellie for completing her second chemotherapy protocol in her brave battle against canine lymphoma. Her courage and tenacity are pawsitively inspiring! Ellie is off treatment now and enjoying a well-deserved break with her family!
Ella
Whether it’s the resilience of the patients, or the extraordinary love of their families, watching patients and their families go through cancer treatment is emotional but a privilege to be a part of. A case in point is Ella who has endured two surgeries (one requiring the removal of a significant portion of her jaw) and chemotherapy, and Ella’s family has been there every step of the way. After all of that, the emotions experienced were joy and great excitement! Ella rang the bell and is going home, cancer-free! Congratulations to Ella and her family!
Nitsa
The journey patients and their families go through with the treatment of cancer is nothing short of courageous and remarkable, and as such is so deserving of celebration! Case in point, Nitsa! Having endured surgery and chemotherapy, Nitsa and her dad got ring the bell together knowing Nitsa had completed treatment and is still in complete remission! Paris
Right before the holidays, Paris’ family got the best gift! In September 2023, Paris was diagnosed with cancer of her bone which necessitated amputation of her leg and chemotherapy. On the last day of treatment, Paris and her family were gifted with the news that she was in complete remission and headed home for the holiday’s cancer-free! Paris’ family rang the bell to celebrate this great news! Congratulations Paris!!
