❤️🐾 PET PROOF Valentines Day❤️🐾

Love is in the air! As we prepare to celebrate Valentine’s Day with our special someone, let’s not forget about our four-legged valentines.

While this day of romance brings joy and sweet treats, it can also present some unexpected hazards for our beloved pets.

Whether it’s those fancy Belgian truffles or a heart-shaped box of assorted chocolates, keep them well out of paw’s reach! Dark chocolate is especially dangerous, but all types can cause serious problems for our furry friends. Xylitol which is a sugarless sweetener and in many candies and gums, is highly toxic to pets.

And while decorations make everything look extra pretty and fun, be careful with balloons and ribbon which make for a fun toy for cats. No ribbon is safe for ingestion. ❤️

In honour of Family Day, we will be closing early Friday, February 14th and remain closed for the entire weekend and holiday. Please make sure to pick up any medications or food orders by 2:30 pm Friday.

Coming in at 8 weeks of age, this beautiful pup was the highlight of our morning. The sweet noises, the puppy breath, the way he curled into our arms, pure joy! it certainly made for a good start of the week.

Jack’s special power is comforting big brother Finn during his Wellness visit. While Finn was in the back room getting his vaccines and nails trimmed, Jack posed for photos and took treats. Fair deal? Jack thinks so.

Rocky did a very brave thing today, he got neutered! There are many benefits to neutering your dog, like eliminating testicular cancer, reducing hormonal behaviours and in some cases, reducing certain types of aggression.

Rocky will have to wear the cone of shame for the next few days but recovery should be brief and his discomfort, mild. Lots of rest, cuddles and TLC is the best way to a successful and seamless recovery.

❤️This guy❤️ Sochi didn’t want to wait for Dental Month to officially roll out - he’s kind of an overachiever that way. He is starting the year with healthy, pearly whites and a happy mouth.

His recovery will be very short, he’s already playing and clearly on the mend!

The next few days will be extra cold. Please limit outside time and when walking your dog, boots and jackets are highly encouraged. Remember, if it’s too cold for you, it is also too cold for our furry friends.
