Owner and award winning groomer Deidre Howard has been grooming dogs professionally for over 15+ years. She graduated from Pampered Paws Grooming Academy, here in her home town of Toronto in 1997. Shortly after graduating, Deidre moved to the west coast and settled in Vancouver where she ran several successful doggy

spas over a 12 year period. Deidre has won multiple awards for her grooming, including being honoured as the Silver Winner of the 2002 Best in the West – WestEnder Readers’ Choice award in the category of Best Dog Groomer, and the Georgia Straight Readers’ Choice Winner for Best Pet Grooming/Best Pet Spa in 2007 and 2008, and a Silver award in 2009. In the fall of 2011, Deidre returned home to Toronto to open Tailspin Dog Spa, a downtown spa oasis for dogs. Deidre believes that every dog that comes to Tailspin Dog Spa is unique in their own special way, and deserves the best love and care she can give them. She does this by ensuring a stress free environment, utilizing aromatherapy and hydro massage bath and conditioning as a standard part of every treatment. She insists on using only eco-friendly shampoos and products.

🛁 How often should your pup be groomed?

Proper grooming isn’t just about keeping them looking their best—it helps prevent skin issues, excessive shedding, and discomfort. 🐶✨

🐾 Long-Haired Breeds (Golden Retrievers, Shih Tzus, Cavalier) – Every 4-6 weeks to prevent tangles, matting, and trapped dirt that can lead to skin irritation. Regular brushing between grooms is a must!

🐾 Short-Haired Breeds (Labs, Beagles) – Every 8-12 weeks to remove loose fur, distribute natural oils, and keep their coat healthy and shiny. They may not need frequent trims, but deshedding treatments are a game-changer!

🐾 Hypoallergenic Breeds (Poodles, Doodles, Bichon Frise) – Every 4-6 weeks to maintain their curly, non-shedding coats and prevent painful mats. These breeds require regular trims to keep their coat manageable and comfortable.

Ingredients:
🥜 1 cup peanut butter
🍌 1 ripe banana
🥣 1 ½ cups oat flour 
Directions:
💌 Preheat oven to 325°F.
💌 Mash banana, then mix with peanut butter and oat flour until a dough forms.
💌 Roll out and cut into heart shapes (or whatever shape your pup loves!).
💌 Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden. Let cool before serving!
