There have been reports of dismembered raccoons in the dog park. This is likely from the coyotes in the ravine. If you see any, please report to 311 for removal.

Lately there has been hate graffiti on our picnic tables and commemorative bench. It has since been removed. If you see more, please email [email protected] with photos so I can alert the city to remove it. Hate does not belong in our park!

Please fill out this survey about off-leash dog parks. Deadline is May 24. Feel free to share!

If you've been inconvenienced by Metrolinx limiting your access to the park or live on the street and have an issue, you can email Robert. His email address is [email protected]. I apologize if I gave you an incorrect email address before.

In response to my complaint about the increase in vehicles on Aldergrove, Robert said "Thanks for sharing your feedback and it's good to hear from you. I've reached out to the contractor and our internal project teams. They have advised us that the increase of cars is happening for a few days in order to mobilize for upcoming work . They have said that while this happens, they will try and reduce vehicle traffic in the area as much as possible while they mobilize. "

People are finding an increase in the number of dog deposits that aren't being picked up. Some are hard to miss! Please be mindful of your dog at all times and pick up after them. It isn't fair for others to be picking up after your dog because you're distracted or think no one will notice. If you don't have a bag, please use one of the ones generously donated to and provided by the association.
Thank you for being a considerate dog owner!

It has come to our attention that holes dug by dogs are not being filled in. If you see a dog digging please ask the owner to fill it back up. We have dirt in the blue bin near the little library for this purpose. Please help keep dogs and people safe from injury.

As many of you have noticed, the hose has been damaged. Thankfully, I was able to acquire a replacement using MPDA funds. Could you please ensure the tap is turned off when you are finished. Simply closing the nozzle and leaving the water on causes undue stress on the integrity of the hose in these warm temperatures. Thank you! -Lisa

We had a wonderful turn out for our annual clean up! I can’t thank those who came out enough for the amazing job done to make our park sparkle. Our volunteers brought rakes and moved wheelbarrow loads of wood chips to much needed areas, and they filled a whopping 73 yard waste bags! We are so fortunate to have such a nice dog park, and it is our community of dog owners caring about the upkeep that makes our park one of the cleanest in the city. It was Terry’s brownies that fulled all of us!

Just a reminder that our suggested $10/household annual due can be e-transferred to [email protected]. This money goes towards buying yard waste bags, p**p bags, replacing the water hose, Howloween, and upkeep of the little library.

I hope you’re putting your feet up and enjoying the afternoon!

FYI Metrolinx will be starting to use our dog park starting tomorrow. If you enter from the Aldergrove entrance, please be careful navigating around the park. The tree trimming will also begin tomorrow, so keep your eyes open for some long lost toys that flew over the fence! I've spoken with Metrolinx, and they said that it should be something they can do.

Something I am trying to launch is a fund for supplying the park with p**p bags. The association was gifted a donation of p**p bags, but they will be running out. I am asking those who enjoy having extra bags at the park to kindly email me at [email protected] or PM me if you would like to participate with either a donation of bags or a financial donation. I've posted a QR code at the park as well.
Thank you,

Please keep your eyes open when you go to the park. There was a coyote in the park this afternoon. More wildlife will be seen as they prepare for winter, get relocated when Metrolinx starts their work, and if the coyotes get mange. Please stay safe and check the park before unleashing.
