I can’t believe Malbec is no longer with us.
He was my loyal companion for almost 13 years. He was a true Mammas boy. He came to us at 8 weeks of age. Full of anxiety from day 1 but oh so loving to his family and siblings.
He loved his sister Carmen from the first day, and raised her well. Always finding her ball when she lost it in the bushes. He was the best cuddler and I will miss his kisses and softness. He was such a quirky and funny guy, loved to taste anything new. Lately his favourite was Durian fruit. 😋
Dementia is an awful disease and it’s making it so hard for both themselves and the family that lives with them. He started to show symptoms about 1.5 years ago and it’s been very gradually the past year but got significantly worse the past 10 days, so even if I made the decision to let him go a few months ago, today, the timing was so right for him now.
Jackson took these lovely photos just a few days ago to honor him and I’m soooo forever grateful we did. It catches him perfectly.
He got to go peacefully at home with me, Bella, Jackson and Carmen and Humphrey by his side.
The wonderful Vet Amari from Midtown Mobil Vet came to our house and helped him pass so peacefully and beautiful.
And then we took him to Amy at In good hands Pet Loss on Woodbine. She is so sweet and wonderful and the perfect person for this hard time in someone’s life.
He is in such good hands passing on and crossing the rainbow bridge. 🙏🏻😭❤️
He will be Welcomed by all our loved ones that are on the other side. ❤️
