Why $1.01B Has Been Invested In Indoor Vertical Farming?

Local Grown Salads is launching in and Philadelphia is 40% African American.
The attached article surprised me, but I am not the only one.

I mentioned it to a fellow I was working with and he was surprised.
But what was surprising to me was, he is African American and he is a vegetarian.

I spoke with another fellow who was also surprised.
Now you probably guessed he was also African American, but a hard core meat eater.
But he has two daughter, that are .

If you are are like me and respond to
"Black Lives Matter" by saying "all lives matter",
"White Privilege" by saying "I worked for what I have", and
"Racist" with "I am not racist".

It means I didn't understand what being said.

No rational person was telling me my life didn't matter.
No rational person was saying Zale had special privaleges.
Nobody was ever calling me a racist.

What they are saying is I don't understand what it is like to be an African American in the United States (or Canada for that matter)

I still don't totally understand it, but I am working on understanding it so I can be part of the solution/

What is aeroponics?
AeroFarms is the best known Indoor Vertical Farming company using the technology!
The aeroponic system is a method of growing plants using nutrient-rich mist.
Plant seeds are planted in tiny pots and exposed to light on one end while the other side is exposed to this nutrient-rich mist.

I bet you don't think about Green Peas very much.
That is unless you have been following the rise of foods.
Pea proteins is the source for most of the substitutes. Its also used as a substitute in protein drinks.

Anyhow, I love fresh peas in my and to just munch on as a treat.
Did you know the leaves of the pea plant taste like peas before the peas actually grow?
So its a way to have a fresh pea flavor in your salad before the pea forms.

And Surprise! Surprise! They are also very healthy.

Most of us perceive Farmers markets to be just about local , but its not.
Its a hive of entrepreneurs looking to explode and scale.
