We offer a full range of services for taking care of your pets, such as private behavioural training, puppy classes, pet first aid training, day care services, dog walking, professional pet grooming, and customized pet nutrition recommendations. The Dog Lounge philosophy centres around the individual dog and its well being while under our care. We endeavour to provide a true "home-away-from-home"

experience by maintaining smaller groups of dogs in a familiar home style environment. At Dog Lounge we boast a fully fenced in outside area as well as the two inside play areas.

It’s been a while, so I wanted to re-introduce myself.

I’m Laura, Owner at, Dog Lounge. And this?

This is me in my element with my babies.

Snow on the ground, dogs by my side, and a whole lot of heart behind what I do ❄️🐾☺️.

I’ve been working with dogs for over 20 years as a vet tech, trainer, caregiver, and lifelong student of canine behaviour, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing.

But the dogs who’ve taught me the most are my own.

Tallulah is my youngest at 3. She’s been on a big journey through fear and confidence-building.

Training her has reinforced everything I believe:

🐾 progress isn’t rushed
🐾 trust is built through kindness
🐾 and dogs thrive when they feel safe, seen, and understood

Marvin is my oldest at 13. He’s steady, wise, and proof that calm care matters long-term.

That philosophy is our foundation at Dog Lounge, our family-run space here in the .

Not a warehouse daycare.

Not chaos for the sake of “tired dogs.”

But a place where training meets care, where dogs are thoughtfully grouped, gently guided, and supported in mind, body, and play.

Whether it’s puppies learning life skills, dogs enjoying structured daycare, trail adventures that nourish confidence, or sensitive pups needing calm, controlled walks we bring the same approach to every dog:

What you’re seeing here isn’t luck. It’s intentional group matching.

Dogs are paired by size, play style, and personality so play stays fun, balanced, and safe.

When dogs are mismatched, you often see:

• one dog getting overwhelmed
• another practicing rough or pushy behavior
• stress disguised as “playing”

When dogs are well matched?

• play stays mutual
• dogs self-regulate instead of escalating

Introducing Lucy a cockapoo puppy that has been spending time with us to get to know us for an upcoming board while her parents go away.
Turns out her parents trip was cancelled however Lucy’s parents saw how much Lucy was enjoying the Puppy school program so Lucy‘s parents decided to keep her on for continue play and learning.
We are so happy to have Lucy stay on for the Puppy day, school program and social socializing.
This is especially good for Lucy because being a cockapoo , the breed can become very anxious and needy as they mature so giving Lucy this outlet of her own to grow and develop her own confidence will help her become a secure and confident dog!
Lucy is very social and loves all her new friends. She especially loves her outings outside in the fresh air and sunshine when she is here with us🌞

We built our dog daycare around a mix of physical exercise, scent work, puzzle games, social time, and proper naps so dogs come home fulfilled, not fried.

Mental wellbeing matters just as much as a good sprint.

This looks simple, but it’s doing a lot for her brain.

Meet Brillo 💛.

She’s a pup who needs to stay mentally engaged and this is one of our favorite simple but powerful ways to do it.

What you’re seeing here is her lunch 👇

✔️ Each bottle is filled with her regular kibble
✔️ No extra treats
✔️ No fancy equipment

Just empty pop bottles + problem-solving.

This was Brillo’s first time using this enrichment, so you’ll notice her slowing down, experimenting, and learning how to make the food come out. That’s exactly what we want 🧠✨

Mental stimulation like this:

We talk a lot about preparing the pup, but not the human.

Planning an easy drop-off, packing familiar food, and giving yourself a little extra time so you’re not racing in late can make the whole experience smoother.

We’ll handle the gentle intros, the grouping, and the updates; you just handle the good-bye snack and the happy reunion.

Did you notice our later member Ollie in the video? He had a great first day with us 😊.
