Sorry this is “last minute”! I’m looking to borrow or rent about 4 (if possible), posts or stands with “sturdy” bases (with or without CORDS or ROPES) to secure and cut off an area to make a no entry area! Need ASAP! This coming Saturday, March 9th, we are going to be doing some minor maintenance work on the four bat houses located in the lower Pend d’ Oreille valley. If you would like to come out and lend a hand, we will be meeting at 10:00 am at the old Pend d’ Oreille cemetery, where two of the bat houses are located. The other two are lower down the road.

No need to bring any tools. The plan is to install anti-slippage pins (the houses keep sliding down the poles) and fix up the roofs. Not a lot of work so don’t require a lot of people, but feel free to come and help and maybe learn a bit about the bats as well.

The houses are owned by the Columbia Basin Trust and the club has recently taken on the routine maintenance.
