🐶🐱Reasons why annual bloodwork is important:
- Establish a normal baseline for your pet's health
- Find conditions in their early stages, when they are easier to treat
- Help monitor any existing health concerns
- Ensure that your pet's medication is being dosed accurately and that there are no complications

Common tests include a complete blood count (CBC) and a complete blood chemistry panel. The CBC can indicate anemia, inflammation, infection, and more. The chemistry panel can assess the health of your dog's liver, kidneys, and pancreas, and much more! 🩺

November is Senior Pet Month, a time to celebrate senior pets and to promote their health and well-being:🐾🐱🐶

Care for senior pets

Here are some tips for caring for senior pets:

Take them to the vet: Get your pet seen by a vet at least twice a year.

Look for signs of aging: Look for signs like cloudy eyes, bad breath, decreased mobility, and weight loss or gain.

Provide non-slick walking surfaces: Make sure your pet has non-slick surfaces to walk on.

Make food and water accessible.

Spend time bonding: Spend extra time cuddling, petting, and praising your pet.
