Rocket and I are exhausted, but today I delivered the final order for 2024!!

I cannot thank everyone enough for their ongoing support whether it’s purchases, encouragement or cool ideas of things to make! It’s made this year unbelievably fulfilling and I am forever grateful.

Now to make a whole bunch of Christmas presents for my own family, a little last minute, but who’s counting 🎅 🎄 🎁

I made a newbie mistake a few weeks ago- I took a custom order, gave the lady my card, but forgot to take her info!

Her gift item is ready, and I have no way of getting a hold of her at this point 😭😭😭.

After many more than the usual six hours of sewing, I burnish the edges with tokonole and the wooden burnisher. Then on to a protective and restoring coating of Leather Balm. Punch a few holes, and you’ve got yourself a belt!

Total hands on time for this project- 15 hours.

Then, I punch each hole. Along the long stretches I can use a punch that makes 6 holes at a time. Any curves or angles get done as individual holes. So. Many. Holes.

Once holes are done, the belt and I move to the couch, put on a good series on Netflix and prepare for 6 hours (on average) of saddle stitching. This is a simple stitch that looks classic, and is very secure. My belts are sewn to prevent stretching of the leather with use.

These two bags will be making their sales debut tomorrow at the Truro Farmers Market Cooperative!

The burgundy messenger bag is made of butter-soft oil tanned leather, stainless steel hardware and the strap is lined with suede for extra comfort while wearing. The buckle is functional for extra security.

The black bag is a new attempt for me! Leather exterior, fabric inlay with full leather lining this bag is as strong as it is styled. The buckle helps camouflage a magnetic closure for easy access. This bag is certainly one of a kind 🎁

With some recent unexpected expenses I need to move some stock 💨 right now💨

I have made up some belts, and have them photographed and sized IN INCHES below. Generally, your pant size will be four digits smaller than the inches. IE- if it’s a size 38 pant, you’d want the middle hole to be at 44”. This is approximate only, but gives you a starting point.

Standard belts are on sale for $75, tooled belts for $100.

If you’ve been sitting on a custom order, now would be a great time to get the info to me and get started.

Excellent weekend of production, not a great day for photos! 💨 🥶 🎼 Two adjustable guitar straps, adjust from 40” to 60” to fit a wide variety of players. 👜 A crossbody bag (strap is in production) and the special thing about this bag is that it’s my own design! It’s not revolutionary, but it’s a handy little bag and I’m super proud. These items and many others will be available at my upcoming tables, and as always, custom requests are encouraged!
