Well, the rain is back again today, so we are only putting up pictures of the dogs that wanted to be outside. Most of them are curled up inside where it's nice and dry.

About the Owner: Marcel Marcotte is a Red Rover Emergency Animal Rescue Volunteer, Humane Society of United States Animal Rescue Volunteer and Humane Society International (Canada) Volunteer. Marcel spent eight days leading the EARS team at the Maine puppy mill in October of 2007. In August of 2008 he was the Shelter Manager at the Parkersburg West Virginia Puppy Mill Seizure Shelter and then in September worked as the Shelter Manager for 2 puppy mill seizure shelters in Montreal and a third one in December. He followed that up with yet another deployment to Montreal in July of 2009. He has also taken part in puppy mill seizures in Tennessee and was involved in a spay and neuter program in Northern Quebec, where in excess of 130 dogs were removed from a native community, one of them his beautiful female Husky, Simone, who came to live with Marcel and Reta in 2011. To date Marcel has been involved in the rescue and sheltering of well over 3000 dogs. Marcel ended a 31 year career with Metropolitan Regional Housing Authority in Halifax on September 1st 2015, where he spent the last 19 years as their Occupational Health and Safety and Emergency Planning Coordinator , Marcel has 5 years of experience as a Red Cross volunteer. During his time with the Red Cross he was deployed on 3 Canadian Disasters, as well he was deployed to Selma, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida as part of the Hurricane Ivan response in 2004.
