We will be part of the Canadian Kennel Club’s Meet the Breeds at the Atlantic Sports+RV Show on Friday from 6:30-8:00. Come and visit us. Sabine and Clara will be giving away free kisses, possibly whether you want them or not. We will also have hats if dog drool isn’t your thing.

Cooper has gone back to his family and our house is starting to return to normal. Upcoming dates for your calendars:

March 17: Pregnancy Confirmation
April 14: Puppy counting x-ray
April 19-20: Expected whelping date

We bred our “D” litter this afternoon with help from the theriogenology team at Maritime Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Centre - MVESC. I can’t express how grateful we are to have access to their expertise and 24x7 in house progesterone testing. They had us in and out within 20 minutes every time, and were very responsive to communcations. Thanks again to Dr. Collins, Renee, Kaitlyn, and everyone else at Maritime Vet who helped us out.

I am starting to feel a serious case of puppy fever. We will breed our “D” litter with Ava and Cooper within the next few days, as soon as the progesterone test says it’s time. Ava is going to be a wonderful mother. Here she is with her baby sister, Juniper (Clover).

We thank all of the families on our wait list for making this possible. Our whole family feels happier and more confident about this breeding knowing that we have such good homes waiting patiently for all of the puppies ahead of time.

The lovely miss Ava went into season today which means two things: Three in a row means that poor Panther will be surrounded stinky girls for 5 weeks straight, and we should be breeding the "D" litter by the end of next week. I am estimating that they will be born on April 8 so start thinking of great "D" names and be sure to put a reminder on your calendar if you like to follow along.

Ava, Chloe, and Luna attended an introductory scent detection class this weekend. I made the mistake of leaving the scented paper plate next to Ava's crate. She told me exactly where it was.

Mama and daughter will be spending extra time with each other for the next couple of weeks. Clara went into season yesterday, earlier than expected, and we are hoping that Ava, who is due, will follow. We are planning to breed Ava and Cooper for our 2025 litter. These will be the first second-generation Meander River puppies.
