Coaches are now required to become licensed through Equestrian Canada's new "Coach Status Program". Écuries Aster Stables' coach, Isabelle Shepard, is now officially licensed (on top of being certified under the NBEA)! 🥳

The EC Coach Status Program ensures that equestrian coaches are properly trained, vetted, and insured. The training focuses on developing skills, delivering high-quality instruction, and promoting the values of safe sport. 🙌

This also means we are eligible to continue to deliver the EC Learn to Ride program, AND allows youth students to apply for funding with the Leg Up Programme un, deux, trois, hop AND from the NBEA at https://nbea.ca/Youth_Bursary ‼️

Our students and friends may have noticed a new presence in our pastures... we'd like to welcome Ally! A 2 year old Standardbred filly, Ally will be staying with us for a month or two to decompress from her intense racehorse training. We're also working on her ground manners so she'll be a pleasure to handle and can go on to live her best life on the track. She's very sweet, but also quite feisty! And those legs go on forever!

Bella had a schooling session this morning (just to do a little refresher of her jump training). She can be pretty slow going sometimes with students learning to walk and steer, but as you can see, she just flies over jumps!

If you're hot, they're hotter. We may not be able to bring them inside, but we are trying to keep the horses as cool as possible, therefore if you have a lesson scheduled during a heat wave, check ahead of time to make sure it is still on!
