How is this girl not adopted???

Now ready for a brand new life, please meet Kibou

Kibou is a roughly 3 year old female leopard gecko. This amazing little fighter came to us barely holding onto life. It was a fight to keep her going but fight we did. Kibou was suffering from severe emaciation, dehydration, loss of toes, multiple layers of shed, severe eye infections and immense build up of shed in the eyes causing blindness, pain, and the severe infections. This poor soul was only 25.1g when we took her in, and even more scary, she came with another gecko - Asha - who was even more emaciated then Kibou was. Both Kibou and Asha have come such a long way and are doing well, but Kibou is just a touch ahead of Asha and is being released before her. Kibou is a gentle gecko but doesn't do well with excitement, and is skittish to a point. Calm and gentle handling sessions are going to be best. Excitable or young children will not do well handling her.

Disclaimer: We are not looking for a home that is anything other than the best for Kibou. Her last home almost killed her with neglect. If you are not willing to go above and beyond for Kibou, and want to treat her as any run of the mill gecko, do not apply for her. As you can see from her photo, we are serious when we say the best and nothing less. She has gone through so much, she deserves every ounce of respect and love for the rest of her life.

Kibou is a fantastic eater, She absolutely loves anything moving. She has learnt our routine and when we are preparing to feed the animas below her, she will come to the front of the enclosure and stare. Occasionally her aim is not the best but she still loves her food. Kibou is fed every 2 days on a variety of feeder bugs. She has not been tried on crickets but does happily take superworms, meal worms, kingworms, wax worms, and we cannot imagine she wouldn't enjoy any other type of bug! Her bugs are offered with tongs and powdered with supplements one bug every 2 feeding of her meals. She has constant access to supplements in her enclosure. She will need an appropriately sized enclosure (3 ft in length min with significant preference to front opening) with hides, a humid hide, calcium bowl, water bowl and a proper undertank heater with a regulator. If EXTENSIVE research is done and shown in the application, we may allow alternative heat sources however if you REFUSE to use a regulator we REFUSE to adopt to you. We also must note that this is an animal that is sensitive to light and additional care must be taken. Adoption fee is $40.00.

To take Kibou home, proof of proper enclosure is required. Please respond to this ad and we will return the proper adoption forms and information to you. If you are unwilling to fill out our forms, please do not bother to reply.

We are located in Drayton Valley and while we encourage pick up we do offer delivery (once the adoption has been processed and approved) with a fee based on mileage and current gas prices. We require payment in full prior to leaving. All documentation must be filled out prior to anything to protect both parties and our animals.

Kibou - Leopard Gecko - 3 Years - Female - $40.00.
