We had a great time last weekend running at the CAANS trial. Other than the rough start due to the venue change, everyone pulled together and had a great time. While I was super happy with my own runs my absolutely favourite part of the day was seeing one of my long-time students finally step to the line. Helo started with my sports puppy program and has continued to impress everyone around him by being the absolute goodest beagle in the whole wide world. Massive congrats to Jen and Helo on their first Q!
If you're looking to get started in agility I have a foundation class start Oct 23 in Grand Desert. Check out my page for details!
Hoopers is a great sport that you can start from a very young age because it's low impact, teaches skills that will translate fantastically into other sports, and really fun. Baby Tempo here has been rocking his foundations and would like everyone to know that there's just a few spots left in our Intro to Hoopers Workshop happening September 8 at Nova Dogsport. Check the comments below for details if you'd like to join in on the fun!
Naruto had a great time running in the latest Virtual trial with some friends and would love for more people to give it a try!
Only two spots remain iny Intro to Hoopers Workshop happening at Nova Dogsport on September 8. Grab your spot now if you don't want to miss out! See comments for details.
Naruto and I had a great time at the CAANS Fetch trial last month and we can't wait to get back into full competition mode this fall. If you would like to learn how to get your dog started in this fun sport I have a Foundation Agility class starting Sept 6 at Nova Dogsport. See comments for details!

Send me an email at [email protected] to sign up!
Having lots of fun outside in the beautiful weather this weekend. Made all the better seeing some of our young dogs killing it on full height contacts! Lots of layers go into a nice, safe, speedy contact performance and little Helo is here to remind you that you don't need a border collie to do it. #agiliy #beagle #agilitytraining #WillDoAnythingForSnacks
Don't miss out on the Intro to Hoopers class for Agility Dogs in Grand Desert starting May 6! Only a few spots remaining, so sign up now. See the comments for details.
Hello, friends!
I have been working on offering a class on a new sport called Hoopers. This is a fun sport that is lower impact physically than agility, but still offers plenty of challenges. This can also be a great way to train many of the foundation skills needed for agility with a young dog, but without overfacing them.
I am trying to gauge how much interest there is and get to know the sorts of handlers and dogs that would be attending. If you could take a quick moment to fill out the form below (there's literally ONE question beyond your basic info) that would really help me figure out the best class plan.

Hello everyone! I am in the process of finalizing my class schedule for the rest of winter into the spring. I am looking at adding some class hours on Monday nights at my new spot in Grand Desert (located about 10 minutes from Porters Lake). I will be offering a Foundation Agility class in February, and I'll announce the dates soon. I also wanted to see if there's enough interest in a more advanced class on the same day. This would be for teams that are running courses. Ideally putting contacts into course work but they don't have to be fully finished, weaves need not be fully closed. Class time would be either 6:15pm or 7:30pm, depending on what works best for people. Please comment below if that's something you'd be interested in.
Today was my young dog's first time doing a full set of closed weaves! He's just under 17 months old and I'll definitely open them back up again to continue working on our proofing exercises but I'm a super proud mama right now! This video really highlights just how much a dog, especially a big dog, has to flex their body to make it through the poles. This is why you should take your time getting to closed weaves (doubly so with a young dog!) and keep your repetitions super low. Extra Long cooldown and massage for Naruto tonight!
