It's definitely been a past few months. But this is more so for Sandy, she gave everyone her absolute best and still does to this day and all we ask of her is to let us love her and nothing more. She gave to much to so many others and was taken for granted so she will just be spending her days with us relaxing and being the cute old lady she is.

I didnt get any pictures of her before dropping her off at her new home. But this is my new mare Patience, I may change her name to Wanda im not sure yet. She does only have one eye so please do not be alarmed if you notice it in pictures.

The girls are doing well, we have a new addition coming next week.

We ended up having to euthanize Storm, the radius bone(bone between his knee and shoulder) on both his front legs were severely bowed. There was no garentee that even if straighten that he would have any long term quality of life. When we got to the vets today to check and see how he was doing a thunder and lighting storm started above the clinic, when the decision to euthanize was made I decided I should atleast name him and figured storm was fitting.

Went and visited the girls today, haven't seen them in a while. Reds definitely pregnant! But we arent to sure about sandy. We will have to take sandy to get one last check, if she's not pregnant ill give it one last try next season but after then she will be retired and live her days out with us. If sandy is retired I will be on the look out for a new mare to breed and sandy be our nanny mare.

Been thinking more and more about going back to school to do equine reproduction, definitely a scary thought of going back to school considering how much I struggled though it the first time around. I'm definitely going to have to upgrade some things to be able to do this but this is nerve wracking and exciting.

The little truck that could is back at it again! 46 bales today only 204 more to go. Started early this year so I don't have to do to so much before winter.

Good news!! Red is 21 days today and is considered caught, basically this is it she's pregnant and the long 11 month wait begins. Sandy is potentially caught aswell but we can't be 100% sure as she has cysts and some of them are the same size so we will find out Thursday.

Sandy got her preg check yesterday, bad news she didn't catch but they will be trying again this week. Red has been bred but they will be staying together at the vet until sandy is bred and ovulated which will most likely be Monday. Cross all you fingers and all your toes that this works for sandy im really counting on this foal happening!

Good news!!!!! The second shot worked!! Sandy will be going there Monday for an ultrasound for a twin check, if there is a twin one will be pinched. Red went back into heat but is going slower then normal, hopefully she catches and is pregnant and that this breeding season was a success.

Took Red to the vet today just to find out that the shot that was supposed to put her back I to heat didn't work and we had to give her another one, so she's staying there until Wednesday. We will find out then. Cross your fingers!!

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with everything, Sandy has been bred!! She has an ultrasound appointment on the 13th to do a twin check, if she has twins one will be pinched as to remove that risk. As for Red she's being taken in again tomorrow because when she was there she ovulated before they could get her into the chute. Anyways it's all finally happening, very stressful but going to be very worth it.

The ladies are staying at the vet for a few days to get AI'd!! Everyone cross their fingers that this all works out and they both catch the first time and start baking those babies up for next year!!!

My two lovely ladies boyfriends for this coming spring has finally been figured out and sorted out Sandy will be getting bred to a gorgeous chestnut stud Hooked On Run and Red will be getting bred to a handsome red roan named Pocos Lil Frenchman.

Ivy and Red sorted things out between themselves quickly. Ivy is no longer the leader of the herd its Red as was expected. Gonna get a good brush this weekend.
