Welcome to Remi's Collar Addiction. I make custom dog collars, leashes, harnesses and much more.

Remi's Collar Addiction came about when I would see all these nice looking collars at pet shows but most of the time they where too expensive or just plain too small for my larger breed. Since I had a bunch of material sitting around due to my other business, one night I got was messing around and had some old cheaper collars that I really didn't like so I remade them into a custom collar for Rem

i. The first collar was great for a dog that was well trained but as I a dog mom and a trainer I knew that on any other dog it wouldn't stand up. That is when I started to get supplies to make stronger better collars for friends dogs to test out for me. A month down the road and all the collars where still in almost new shape even after being washed, worn to the dog park, a few attempts at chasing small tree animals. (I can't say it or Remi goes nuts) I then started to take orders. As a trainer I also know the importance of having a good collar that will stand up to almost any dog. More than once I have seen leashes and collars snap for no other reason than cheap construction. A few times this has put a dog in danger when they have gotten loose. If I can prevent that by offering affordable, strong products than I know that at least one more dog will be safe.

Remi and Cyrus say please stay home until the roads are clear. Freezing rain this morning and now snow are making things very slick. It's better to stay home and use a buddy to look out the window.

With many here in Canada avoiding purchasing products made in the U.S due to the terifffs that are now imposed I am proud to say that we are a Canadian business. Our fabrics and hardware are purchased from Canadian owned businesses. We have always tried to support independ smaller businesses as much as possible.

With that being said if you are looking to get a certain print we will be limited to purchasing from Canadian sellers and not looking at U.S suppliers. While most prints I purchase are printed in China they are designed and sold by Canadians.

We love our U.S friends and welcome you. We will not support the actions of the current U.S leader.

A kttle late but better late than never. HAPPY HAPPY YEAR. Lots has happened since the holidays. A flue bug swept through the house. Which litmited my energy to see. However it didn't limit my ability to think of some new ideas. I have a bunch of fabrics that cannot be used for collars so a line of clothing for smaller dogs will be available soon. These will be cute and and stlyish. Each one will be unique.

One thing that was kept under wraps for a bit was my Christmas/Birthday gift. Everyone meet Cyrus. He is currently 9 weeks old and so far has passed all puppy screening behavioural wise. It is too soon to he will be Remi's replacement as Rem is let me know she is done working. Once vaccinated he will be slowly joining Remi and I at events. As you can see he and Remi are already buddies.

One good thing about not doimg shows is I have time to do other things. For Christmas only we are offering embroidered stockings. These can be for both humans and pets.
Only $15 each.

We are now online only until April. Why no in person events until then? Simple, we want to keep our overhead costs down so that we can continue to provide a quality product at the same prices as we currently have. In three years Remi's has been around I am proud that not once has there been an increase in pricing.

There are also some changes coming. Very soon we will be starting up with a fun new item. What is it you ask? Well like and follow to find out.

BREAKING NEWS:
After a few days of researching I have found a way to ship that will cost the same as Canada Post. While there might be some delays as all couriers are busier than normal due to the strike. Please keep that in mind when ordering if it is for the holidays. As an alternative we have digital gift cards available and can be purchased. These will be emailed vs mailed and can be used without any restrictions for anything we sell.

PLEASE READ
Due to the Canada Post strike we are unable to ship using this method. We are still shipping but will be using couriers. Unfortunately the cost for UPS, FedEx has risen significantly over the past 2 years. Over the next few days I will be searching for a way to bring them expence down. As always shipping costs are not a set rate and you only pay what it costs me to ship. No hidden fees. Fingers crossed the strike ends soon.

One way you can help small businesses like Remi's is to shop local. Look for market events there are so many amazing vendors that your are bound to find that special gift you are looking for.

Not sure what to get the dog owner of your gift list. How about a gift card so they can pick out one of our classic design your own collar and leashes. It takes the guessing what print or size to order.

It's the most wonderful time of the year 🎄❤️🎅️😊

Just over a month and counting down to Christmas. This year we have several holiday prints already and more to come. We also will be offering treat filled ornimemts. Also offering embroidered stockings for both humans and furry family members. Have a special request for a gift we will try our best to make it happen.

Virtual gift cards are now available. They can be emailed and for any amount you wish.

We are also going to be at several local markets were you can shop in person. Stay tuned as these will be posted later.

We are closed for a few days. Sadly one of our beloved fur kids, Chillie is not well and we are saying our goodbyes over the next 24 hours.

Even though they weather is a fright and the clouds look spooky we will still be braving the gouls and goblins at the Fort Erie Racetrack today. Princess Remi and I will be set up near customer service indoors. Admission is free. So bring them kiddos for some trick or treat fun as well as the last day of live racing.

Happy 10th Birthday Remi! 🎉🎊

After having to unexpectedly close due to my health and for family reasons Remi's is now back up and running. The switch over to a new name was put on hold due to the sudden loss of Atlas. Please be patient as I rebuild. I have had to replace my machine and have a temp one until not one but two machines are fixed. Yes that's right no more machine breakdowns. There will always be a backup ready to go. I'd also like to introduce my new best friend......an embroidery machine!! Many have asked about adding names to collars. Well now it's possible. Stay tuned as I perfect adding them.
