Teaching the dogs some new tricks.. literally 😎

Kevin and Tyrus already know the basics of agility but Dali and Holly are new to the game but are learning so well!

We are taking videos along the way of their learning so show for all!

So proud of Jazmine

This was at our last behavioural modification session where she was faced with 4 dogs which she did an excellent job staying focused on mom

Jazmine had many indicators of stress when people or dogs walked past her house and would charge at them

Now she is learning the control of watching and waiting for response from her mom if she is needed to go check it out!

I am always so happy to see the improvement and hard work that pays off!

Tucker is killing the game..
He struggled with his boundaries of being inside the door when people walked by the house or came up to the door

With the commitment of his owners he is now able to sit at an open door with a stranger walking past and up to the door with the confidence to wait for his owners next command to greet him if needed!

Keep up the great work Tucker and parents 🐶

Had a great day full of stimulation to get Kevin's brain working

We did some socialization-- walking through stores and hearing/smelling and seeing all the different things as well as re-applying the knowledge of not needing to see and interact with anyone!

We love going in stores like winners, Canadian tire, etc that are dog friendly but are not commonly flooded with dogs😊

He was a superstar so I took a trip to grab him a quick toy and a free run where we did some very light scent work to finish the day with a nap😴

POTTY TRAINING

One of the biggest and most important steps in getting a puppy or a dog is the potty training

📌Dog/Puppies do best with a schedule. This schedule should be more consistent with puppies as they have to go outdoors more often- this means after waking up from a nap, right after eating/drinking and most commonly anything that causes excitement.

📌The hour rule is something that works best when working with young puppies {The hour rule is taking your pup out every hour- this should be used even if you have to go out in between the hour slots.} Potty Training works best when you have a consistent schedule so the pup knows they will have a regular chance to go outdoors. ALWAYS rewarding when your pup goes to the washroom is extremely important-

📌this means always going outdoors with your pup as well to make sure they do go to the washroom.

❗️A great tool to use with potty training is some way your pup can let you know they have to go outdoors {Bell (on the ground or the door hanging bells) Grabbing of the leash, bark at door, sitting by door, etc} ❗️

OKAY guys I am getting back on track with my postings! (new year, new me right??)

Around Christmas it is known that many people get puppies/dogs so I will be posting weekly some helpful information regarding your dog/puppies life and some common issues and questions I get

If you have anything you want to see answered or have additional questions about I am always happy to chat!!

For this year I have created a schedule for posting that I am really hoping to stick to! {Don’t hold me to it though as I get busy and sometimes forget about my social media}
Sundays will be postings of clients and their amazing work
Wednesdays will be informational posting days
Fridays I will ACTUALLY start “Friday Fun Days”

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!🥰🥰

Tyrus and Kevin wanted to remind everyone to be mindful of our 4 legged family members in these holidays- now is a common time for foreign bodies (things they should not he eating!) and gastrointestinal issues from eating more human food (then they would normally have or things they should not have)

Please also allow your pets some "quiet" time during the holidays as it can be stressful for them as well to have so many people coming/going🤗

Just a little pop in as I have been offline for a little while now and just wanted to say hi again and let everyone know I will be posting more and Kevin and I have been making reels all day today so we have some coming your way soon 🥰

Alee learning that even if her mom turns her back she still has to stay! She is doing so well with obedience skills.. only our second session! 🥰🐶

Completing some 1:1 training with Finn, he is such a smart boy and so willing to please even at 4 months old! We are working on some extra tricks and in depth obedience as he absolutely loves to work and learn new things🤩 Can't wait for Finn to show off all of his amazing skills to everyone he sees! #training#lab #puppy#obedience

So proud of my little brother working hard with my parents puppy! Tyrus is 7 months old and can really feed off the energy of my brother.. with this he has taken it to really zone in on training more with Tyrus to create a bond of respect and trust between them! There is some more work to be done to perfect it but so far it looks great!

How high will Ruby jump? Thats what we all keep asking! she absolutely is loving it and looks incredibly cool doing it as well😎 Great job guys!

The importance of a big dog knowing how to greet people is very important, Hudson loves meeting people and got a little excited when seeing certain people he likes- now he has learned that the best way to greet people is to sit instead of jumping due to him being such a big boy, this just means more love for him right away! Such great work from both of his owners!

Another update on Coors.. Absolutely amazing!!! Coors and his owners have worked so hard for this, we have a little more work to do but this I had to share It is so important to have full control of your dog and maintain complete confidence in yourself, if you are not confident your dog will not be either. Coors was able to ignore how close we were to his space and owners, he recalled and completed the commands that were asked of him with no fight Keep up the amazing work guys!

One of the most common issues I am asked to help with is controlled walking.. Meet Mylo, he is only a puppy but definitely has picked up some bad behaviours Our first session has been focused on the proper way to greet people as well as working on walking properly with his owners! Cant wait to show Mylo's improvements in our next session
