❤️ WE NEED YOUR HELP. WE’RE $1,000 SHORT ON RENT. ❤️

The last few weeks have been incredibly difficult for KCS, and we’re reaching out to our community for help.

We recently welcomed six English Bulldogs, all with significant medical needs, including painful eye conditions, mobility issues, severe infections, and skin problems.

Thanks to our incredible rescue partners, we were able to transfer three into their care. The medical costs for all six alone would have been financially devastating, and we’re so grateful we didn’t have to face them alone.

On top of that, we’ve had puppies needing urgent veterinary care, including one who became lethargic after passing a significant number of worms.

When an animal needs medical attention, we can’t simply wait until we can afford it.

Unfortunately, these mounting veterinary expenses have left us approximately $1,000 short on rent.

Rent may not be the most exciting thing to fundraise for, but it’s what keeps a warm, safe roof over the heads of the dogs depending on us.

And right now, we need our village. ❤️

🐾 20 people donating $50
🐾 40 people donating $25
🐾 Even $5 helps!

Our goal is $1,000 to keep our doors open and our dogs safe. Anything beyond that will go toward ongoing veterinary care and daily expenses.

We know times are tough, and we never take your support for granted. Whether you donate or simply share this post, it means the world to us.

🐾 FOSTER HOMES WANTED! 🐾

❄️ The cold weather is coming, and with it comes the heartbreaking calls about homeless dogs desperately needing somewhere safe to go.

Every year, as the temperatures drop, the calls increase. Dogs wandering in freezing temperatures, moms trying to keep their puppies warm, and countless dogs with nowhere to call home.

We want to be ready to help as many of these dogs as possible, and that’s where our amazing foster families come in! ❤️

Fostering is one of the most important parts of rescue. You don’t have to commit to adopting a dog forever. Sometimes, all they need is a safe place to land while we work on finding their forever family.

❤️ Thinking about fostering? Here’s what you should know:

🐾 KCS provides the food, supplies, and veterinary care.

🐾 We provide guidance and support throughout your foster journey.

🐾 You provide a safe, loving home and a little patience while your foster dog settles in.

🐾 Every foster home helps us make a difference in another dog’s life.

Whether you can foster a puppy, an adult dog, or a mom with her babies, you could be the reason a dog gets a second chance.

As we head into the colder months, we’re hoping to grow our foster family network so we can continue helping dogs who need us most.

Winter is coming. Let’s make sure these dogs have somewhere warm, safe, and full of love to land. 🐶❤️

🐾 MEET MABEL — OVER A YEAR IN RESCUE. LET’S CHANGE THAT! ❤️

Some dogs seem to get overlooked, and sweet Mabel has been waiting far too long for someone to choose her.

At approximately 2 years old, Mabel has already bounced between a couple of rescues and has spent just over a YEAR in rescue care. That’s a long time to be waiting for a place to call home. 💔

But don’t let her story fool you. This girl is absolutely FULL of love, personality, and enough goofiness to keep you laughing!

💕 A little about Mabel:

🐾 Age: Approximately 2 years old

🐾 Breed: Mixed breed

🐕 Dogs: Dog friendly with dogs her own size and larger! She’s tolerated smaller dogs but isn’t particularly fond of them.

🐈 Cats: No cats, please!

🎾 Favourite activity: FETCH! This girl loves a good game!

🍑 Favourite thing EVER: Bum scratches! And we’re not talking about a little tail wag. Mabel loves them so much that she’ll practically nose-dive into the ground to get that bum even HIGHER in the air. 😂

Mabel is a happy, loving girl with plenty of enthusiasm for life. Her impulse control is still a work in progress, and she’ll need someone willing to continue building those skills with her. We’re more than happy to work alongside her adopter to help set everyone up for success!

She doesn’t need someone expecting perfection. She needs someone willing to give her a chance, provide some guidance, and love her for the wonderful, goofy girl she is.

❤️ MABEL’S ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN REDUCED TO JUST $300! ❤️

Over a year. Multiple rescues. Still waiting.

Let’s make sure Mabel doesn’t spend another year wondering when it’s finally her turn.

🖤 Black dogs deserve to be seen, too. 🐾

Have you heard of Black Dog Syndrome?

Some studies suggest black dogs are more likely to be overlooked in shelters, but their coat colour says nothing about the love they have to give. ❤️

Behind every black coat is a loving, playful pup waiting for their forever home.

✨ Your new best friend might be the one you’ve overlooked.
